Spicy Taco Crescent Roll
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 package (1 oz) taco seasoning mix
- 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese (4 oz)
- 1 tbsp chopped jalapeno pepper
- 1/2 green bell pepper diced
- 1/2 red bell pepper diced
- 1 cup of corn
- 1 tbsp oil
- 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent dinner rolls, or the ones
that are 50% larger
Shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, sliced ripe olives, taco sauce or salsa, as desired
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Cook ground beef or turkey on stove until no longer pink in 1 tbsp of
oil
- Add the peppers and let it stove for 5 min.
- Then add the corn to the beef.
- Add taco seasoning mix and 1/2 cup water. Simmer 3 to 4 minutes
or until slightly thickened.
- Mix in a bowl the beef mix and cheese.
- Unroll the cans of dough and place a little bowl upside down in the
middle of a cookie sheet.
- Arrange triangles in ring form around the bowl with the short ends
against the bowl. You have made a sun like shape.
- Spoon beef mixture on the half of each triangle closest to center of
ring. (Filling will not be completely covered).
- Bake at 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
