1. It's okay to cry.
2. Prepare for the most unreasonable hours possible.
3. Coffee is essential. You will not make it through the holidays without it.
4. Stay away from crazy shoppers.
5. Customers WILL ask you stupid questions. Smile and help them anyways.
6. Try to ignore the fact that you're only getting paid 9 dollars an hour to deal with shoppers from hell.
7. Even when there's 20 people in line and you're the only one at the register no one will come and help you.
8. Resist the urge to hurt annoying customers. (It's going to be hard, but just try.)
9. Kids will destroy everything in their path, keep them away from the expensive displays at all costs. Your job depends on it.

12. The end of the holiday season will be the happiest moment of your entire life. Enjoy it.
