4 Reasons Facebook Is The Worst

One Millenial's thoughts on the futility of social media.

Having been a Facebook User for a few years now, it's time to offer a review. Facebook is designed to provide users the chance to interact with each other socially without the trouble of in-person, face-to-face conversation. Great, right? Wrong. Facebook is the worst, here's four reasons why:

    1. Facebook makes you hate people. You know that friend who posts pictures of her food everyday, followed by a duck-face selfie and an overly dramatic status update about how difficult her life is working at Forever 21? You hate her. You didn't hate her before friending her on Facebook, but you do now.

    2. Facebook makes annoying people more annoying. You know that friend who always hits you up on chat, literally whenever you log in? It's like he just sits in front of his computer all day waiting to harass you. It's not like he has anything to say either, its always "hey", followed by "whts up". You're like, for the love of god, man, look at my status update, I JUST TOLD YOU AND EVERYBODY ELSE WHATS UP: "Just got back from the gym. Biceps for dayz. Food time. #doyouevenliftbro" (Also, before Facebook you were less of a moron, but that guy was still annoying.)

    3. Facebook tries to make you feel like a bad person. You know those things that say something like "Post this or you're a terrible person", or "If you don't post this, kids will die and its YOUR FAULT." Who sits at their computer and thinks, 'oh man, that was a close one, I almost let those kids die.' Some people, thats who. You know who I'm talking about, that person who tries to improve the world by beating their newsfeed over the head with poorly written guilt trips.

    4. Facebook is the largest waste of time in the history of man. Facebook has 1.1 Billion active users who use the site for an average of 23 minutes per day. That means during each day, the world spends 25.3 billion minutes on Facebook, or 421.6 million hours, or 17.5 million days, or 48,135 years, or 481 centuries. Every day, 481 centuries are spent on Facebook.

Just imagine who you would be and what could be accomplished if Facebook didn't exist.
