Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland saved me during ninth grade. I barely could get out of bed to go to class (I was ata boarding school which was a horrid fit) or eat. But watching Alice find her muchness, which I so desperately lacked, was the one thing I managed to do every day.
Now, my favorite movie to watch is Empire Records. Each character has their own personal demons, but when they’re in the store, things are okay, and there are infinite possibilities.
