"Maurice’s Furnishings is a family owned and operated business that had its humble beginnings as a small antique shop in Juno Beach, Florida in 1981. Maurice Jonker Sr. had brought his family to the United States from his native Holland to start a business and pursue the American dream. Over the years, Maurice’s Furnishings evolved from selling European pine antique furniture and accessories to also include their own line of high quality antique reproductions. It was not very long before the word got out that “Maurice’s builds extraordinary furniture with lasting quality and beauty.” Today, the company is run by Maurice Jonker Jr who heads up operations in the main showroom in Jupiter, Florida. Maurice Sr. and his wife Tony are still very much involved in the operations of the business. Daughter Natasja, daughter-in-law, Wendy also work for the showroom in Jupiter, FL. Maurice’s builds their furniture at their own production facility located in Port St. Lucie, FL . Highly skilled craftsmen work on client projects using only solid wood construction and time honored furniture building techniques. Clients may choose from Maurice’s wide selection of production furniture or are assisted in designing the perfect piece for their setting. Many builders and designers from near and far have used Maurice’s Furnishings team to design, build and install custom kitchens, libraries, closets and media rooms throughout the country, and even internationally on occasion. Our ability to collaborate with clients and their designers, architects and builders to create unique and beautiful cabinetry keeps our production schedule busy. Maurice has traveled around the world to hand select reclaimed wood timbers for some special custom projects. Maurice is personally involved in every custom project.
