Isn't It About Time We Had A 1 Hand Typing App?

We can land a spacecraft on a comet but we still type with two hands, the same way we did when the mechanical typewriter was invented in the 1860’s. Isn’t it time for us to be able to type with one hand? In Chapter 4 of THE BLUE FOLIO, by Matt McMahon, Keri Eversley teaches young Tia to use the PawTab, a one handed keyboard tablet. Characters are typed by tapping each of the five fingers in either a forward, back or off position much in the same way that a chord is played on a piano. This creates 486 possible chords many times those available on a regular keyboard. Chords are assigned so that the most commonly used characters or commands get the easiest chords. For example, E, the most commonly typed character requires only tapping the middle finger in the forward position. Check out the chord patterns and start practicing now.
