Ren and Stimpy Ren and Stimpy Wiki / Via renandstimpy.wikia.com These two definitely embody the definition of a complex relationship, it's almost impossible to actually characterize the friendship in any meaningful way. Yet through it all, these two remain friends even through Ren's space madness or Stimpy's brief shot at being famous 9. Angelica and Susie Rugrats Wiki / Via rugrats.wikia.com While these two started out as rivals, through out the years the bond between them grew into a full blown friendship, especially when you look at "All Grown Up." 8. Zim and Gir Zim Wiki / Via zim.wikia.com While Gir isn't always the most reliable sidekick and Zim can be a little too critical, these two buddies never gave up on their mission to conquer Earth 7. Norb and Dag My Tee Spot / Via myteespot.com The relationship between these wacky beavers may have been strained at sometimes, but it was strong nonetheless! Even if Norb was making fun of Dag or Dag was annoying Norb, the two were always willing to give each other "a biiiiiiiig hug!" 6. And I mean, come on, who wouldn't want a friend like Gerald? He has all the best stories! 5. Cat and Dog Catdog Wiki / Via catdog.wikia.com While you could argue that these two had to be friends seeing as they were attached, it is nonetheless evident that their friendship was still pretty great. These two are complete opposites but that only seems to strengthen their friendship as they overcome their issues. 4. Rocko and Heffer MTV / Via geek-news.mtv.com While Heffer could sometimes be a little frustrating for Rocko, they still retained their strong relationship. Their relationship was so strong that Rocko was even willing to go into the TV to save Heffer's brain! 3. Doug and Skeeter Tumblr / Via dougfunniesjournal.tumblr.com No one likes having to move to a new place and make new friends, but Skeeter was willing to befriend Doug when he moves into town. This initial act of friendship evolved into a great relationship that even managed to survive a transition to Disney! 2. Spongebob and Patrick Sponebob Wiki / Via rugrats.wikia.com Even though neither of these two are particularly intelligent, the bond between them is still so strong that no one can help but admire them. And admit it, watching these two slowly dry out in the Spongebob movie made you weep like a baby! 1. Tommy and Chuckie Rugrats WIki / Via rugrats.wikia.com And here we have it, the best friends Nickelodeon has ever known. These two went through so much together and always had the other's back. Whether it's Tommy trying to find Chuckie a new mom or Chuckie helping Tommy get over his first cut, these two provided a model friendship for everyone who grew up in the 90s.
