Every Werk Room Entrance From "RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars," Ranked

Say what you want but I saw 0 beauty in these entrance looks. No glamour.

Oh, this y'all, is just the entrance look. And while it may be only one look and one line in a long season of drag and quips (and endlessly long in the case of Season 14), it is perhaps the most important of the season. A drag queen's entrance into the Werk Room is their introduction to the season (one now often released weeks before the show even airs). It's the tone-setter. It's our first chance to see what type of queen has arrived to compete. While on the main seasons of Drag Race, we are meeting the queens for the first time, on All Stars we are seeing who they have become since they sashayed away from our televisions. Has their drag gotten better (or, in a few unfortunate situations, gotten worse)? Have they moved in a new direction? Have they solidified their brand? The entrance look can say a lot.

While Drag Race entrances have not always been in today's format (the early seasons consisted mostly of awkward "hi's"), it is now standard to walk in, say something quippy, and pose while wearing a look that will be burned into the brains of viewers forever. 

In honor of the arrival of All Stars Season 7, which will showcase eight winners competing for the crown, I've decided to rank all 73 of the Werk Room entrances from the All Stars seasons. I am taking into account both their looks and entrance lines, so a strong outfit can make up for a forgettable opening salvo and vice versa. I would also like to say that while I (as a writer) feel highly qualified to judge the quotes here, I know absolutely NOTHING about fashion and so will be relying heavily on my instincts as a bitchy gay to critique those. Feel free to read me for filth in the comments if you disagree with my hot takes.

73. Kennedy Davenport (All Stars Season 3)

Entrance line: "Round two, bitches."

Truly WTF. This bizarre yellow disco ball look is the stuff of nightmares. Stephen King could not have come up with a more horrifying look. I'd rather meet Pennywise in the sewer than the Dancing Diva of Texas in this monstrosity. The hair looks like a stalk of broccoli. The craft supplies glued to her face. The ball-and-chain disco ball she's swinging like a medieval mace. It sort of defies reality that anyone could create something so ugly. Like, I'm a little bit impressed somehow.

And then there is the veeeeeeeeery lackluster entrance line. Not a lick of thought went into that, and by Season 3, she should have prepared at least something. Should have spent less time gluing tiny mirrors to her forehead and more time brainstorming a quip. (It should also be noted that the queens rely HEAVILY on the word "bitch." I will be keeping a Bitch Count.)

72. Thorgy Thor (All Stars Season 3)

Entrance line: "Wooooooooo. Owwwwwww. I think I just broke my ankle doing that."

This looks like a Spirit Halloween clown costume's pants with a Shein blouse and an Oriental Trading Company pom-pom glued to her head. Hard pass. It's also unclear to me if she had an actual entrance line prepared and then did twist her ankle clomping around or if this was a bit. Either way, not great.

71. Ginger Minj (All Stars Season 6)

Entrance line: "Feeling froggy."

Ginger Minj has branded herself the "Glamour Toad," so this entrance look and line are a play on that, but BOY is it ugly. It also took me quite some time to realize that the shoulders are actually the frogs' mouths, which would make her arms the tongues? Also, not to be knit-picky, but toads and frogs are technically not the same thing. If you kiss a frog, they become a prince. If you kiss a toad, you get warts. Or so my elementary school teachers have led me to believe.

70. Trinity the Tuck (All Stars Season 7)

Entrance line: "Body, body, and more body. The holy trinity has arrived."

This entrance line is fine, and should be enough to move this up the ranking, but I just hate this look so much, I can't bear to move it any higher. What is the concept here? It's sort of can-can Vegas showgirl. It's part Gilded Age. It's part neon BDSM. Why does she have a feathered lobster claw over her eye? Why is it mauve and the traffic vest yellow? Why is the waistline so low? Why does she have random arm bands? What are the cross earrings? For someone who has WON a season, this is odious.

69. Jujubee (All Stars Season 1)

Entrance line: "Aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh."

Oh, Juju. For a truly legendary queen who has placed in the top three on all four of her seasons (including UK vs. the World where her looks were so bad, I'm convinced she must have been cast about 20 minutes before shooting), this is embarrassing. The red wig is bad. The H&M black dress is bad. The lack of an entrance line is bad. Juju. Put some effort into this, please. Like, we know this isn't a challenge, but still, give us something.

68. Jujubee (All Stars Season 5)

Entrance line: "Third time's a charm."

And on Juju's second appearance, she didn't do much better. Her black dress is slightly more structured. Her wig is slightly less cheap. Her entrance line has slightly more verve. But still giving the bare minimum, the equivalent of contributing "I agree with what Janelle said" to class discussion for participation points.

67. Raven (All Stars Season 1)

Entrance line: "Let's do this, bitches. All stars."

Raven taking a page from Jujubee's book. A basic dress. Her classic bordering-on-problematically-dark-for-a-white-person spray tan. A standard wig. It should be noted that in Season 1 there wasn't a precedent for the entrance line, so these queens aren't giving us as much as they will in later seasons (and are relying heavily on "bitch"), but Raven is more clever than this. Bitch Count: 2.

66. Tammie Brown (All Stars Season 1)

Entrance line: "Tootsie loo."

Never change, Tammie Brown. Keep being weird as hell. But this look is a leotard, a skirt, and what appears to be the Uncut Gems necklace. I think if she came back now, she'd deliver a weirder, more iconic entrance line, but in Season 1 this is all we got.

65. Nina Flowers (All Stars Season 1)

Entrance line: "Loca. I love it."

This is hideous. Truly almost on Kennedy Davenport levels. It doesn't fit. The hair looks like a tennis ball. That necklace is sus. I only bumped her up this high because she's got a lot of energy during her entrance, which was much needed in the string of "hey bitch" equivalents in the Season 1 lineup.

64. Chad Michaels (All Stars Season 1)

Entrance line: "Happy Hunger Games, bitches."

Right on cue, we got Bitch Count: 3. I really hate this look, too. It's a zebra print overlayed with desserts on a unitard with a gold corset and shoulder pads over top. Then there is this asymmetrical bob moment. The Hunger Games reference is worth a point or two, but otherwise, this is ROUGH. The lowest ranking eventual winner in the mix (unless Trinity wins Season 7, which is the DARKEST timeline).

63. Serena ChaCha (All Stars Season 6)

Entrance line: "Representing Panama. It's Serena ChaCha. Ole."

Okay, I like the concept here, but the execution is a bit messy. A bullfighting ensemble is a fun idea, but between the hair and the headpiece and the collar and the vest and the cape and the skirt, it's just a lot. Also, we know you're Serena ChaCha (your name will be on the screen), no need to include it in your opening, especially on Season 6.

62. Jaida Essence Hall (All Stars Season 7)

Entrance line: "Hey, bitches. She's back."

Bitch Count: 4. An all-winners season and the best you've got is "Hey, bitches. She's back" and a red jacket/leggings set? Jaida has plenty of iconic moments she could have worked with for her entrance quote. Truly, a simple, "Look over there" would have been better. I'm not gagging.

61. Mariah Paris Balenciaga (All Stars Season 5)

Entrance line: "In a room full of 10s, I'm always grand prize."

I do sort of like this entrance line because Mariah came from the ball scene originally, but this weird superhero leotard look is not really doing anything for me. Meh.

60. Latrice Royale (All Stars Season 1)

Entrance line: "Pow. Like that."

Love Latrice so much! (Who doesn't?) and if I could bump her up higher, I would, but really, all we've got here is a fan.

59. Aja (All Stars Season 3)

Entrance line: "Ayo sis. I have some unfinished business."

Okay, this is the props section of the list. Latrice had a fan. Aja has upped the game with a scooter. Unfortunately, she did not really up her entrance line or look. If you're gonna come in on a scooter, I feel like your line should be something about rolling in? Scooting in? Wheeling up?

58. Monet X Change (All Stars Season 7)

Entrance line: "You know what they say. Monet changes everything."

She's got money guns. I think she's trying to use that to distract us from the fact she's wearing a flannel leotard. It's giving Canadian Mountie a bit, and the line, while a play on her name, is not what I'm looking for in a very clever former winner. She was much better on her previous All Stars appearance.

57. Derrick Barry (All Stars Season 5)

Entrance line: "Oooooo I did it again."

Derrick Barry said on her original season that she was trying to get out of her Britney box. Well, apparently she's not trying too hard because she did a full-on Britney Spears reveal with an "Oops I Did It Again" reference as her entrance line. In theory, I like the idea of this arrival and it is memorable. It's just a little clunky in the execution.

56. Mimi Imfurst (All Stars Season 1)

Entrance line: "Life is like a paycheck. A generous figure is always nice."

Mimi was certainly the most shocking casting of All Stars Season 1 as she was booted early from Season 3 and known only for picking up India Farrah during a lip-sync like she was a Hulk Hogan impersonator. While many of her Season 1 cast mates came in with weak "bitch" lines, Mimi had a line PREPARED. Unfortunately, I'm not sure what it means. I get that a generous figure in a paycheck is always nice, because that means more money. But what exactly is a generous figure in life? Is this a reference to her being a bigger girl? I'm not really sure. This is not the serve that she thought it was.

55. Jiggly Caliente (All Stars Season 6)

Entrance line: "Well mother did say, may the best woman win."

This is a FANTASTIC entrance line. Jiggly comes back to All Stars having come out as trans since her original season, and we love the play on Ru's original (slightly anti-trans), "Gentleman start your engines, and may the best woman win." Unfortunately, it is paired with a Jujubee-level entrance look. If Jiggly was giving even the SLIGHTEST amount of a look here, she'd be top 20 easily. But instead, we just got a leather dress from Zara.

54. Phi Phi O'Hara (All Stars Season 2)

Entrance line: "Riddle me this. Riddle me that. Watch out, girls. This bitch is back."

I will give it to Phi Phi that she has a fully executed vision here. She does cosplay, so this is up her alley, and she's got the Riddler costume paired with a Riddler line that sort of references the fact she was the villain of her original season. The issue here is that the lime green is not working with her skin tone and orange hair. I think if she'd done darker hair, this might have worked better? I need to look at my color theory notes from college, but this reminds me of the time I wore a lime green shirt to school pictures after I'd had the chicken pox and it was NOT A GOOD LOOK. Bitch Count: 5.

53. BenDeLaCreme (All Stars Season 3)

Entrance line: "Hi everyone. It's me BenDeLaCreme. Again."

This for me is the definition of mediocre. She is imitating her original entrance. She's got energy. She's revamped a dress she wore previously and tied the pattern into her hair and earrings, but there isn't anything here that is really special. It's all just sort of average. We can only go up from here.

52. Mayhem Miller (All Stars Season 5)

Entrance line: "I didn't come to crash the party. I came to end it."

Yes, it's a leotard, but the boots and the gloves and the makeup and the streaks in the hair all make it look RIGHT. Mayhem is gorg here, even if it is a bit simple. My qualm is with this entrance line. It's a reference to her original entrance of "Guess who finally decided to crash the party?" which made sense, as she was a long-established queen who made it onto the show after a long time applying. Crashing a party is definitely a thing. What is "ending a party" though? Like when the cops show up? When it just peters out? Unclear. Needs some workshopping.

51. Ra'Jah O'Hara (All Stars Season 6)

Entrance line: "Your saucy homegirl is back, and she's sweeter than before."

I LOVE Ra'Jah and really wanted her to win All Stars, especially after all her hilarious burns from her original season. This entrance line is not her best work though. It speaks to her rebrand as wanting to be nicer on her second go-around, but it's a bit bland. This entrance look is fun, and I like the hoodie/ballgown combo, but it's also not quite sticking the landing for me.

50. Trinity K. Bonet (All Stars Season 6)

Entrance line: "You know they done fucked up. Right?"

I think we've moved past all the truly bad entrances and have now moved into the realm of the mediocre. This look isn't bad, but it's just sort of a bunch of simple pieces on top of one another.

49. Coco Montrese (All Stars Season 2)

Entrance line: "Orange you girls happy to see me?"

Coco's black hat look is worse than Trinity's but her entrance line is MUCH better. She was called out for having makeup that looked too orange on her first season and making a joke about it with her Doritos hand mirror. Clever.

48. Jasmine Masters (All Stars Season 4)

Entrance line: "I am Jasmine Masters, and I have something to say. I am back for All Stars 4, you junky whore."

I don't love the "My name is" part of the entrance line, but the energy with which she delivers "I'm back for All Stars 4, you junky whore" is infectious. I also love a floral pant suit moment. This isn't changing any lives, but it's cute.

47. Yara Sofia (All Stars Season 1)

Entrance line: "Yeeeeeeeeeeeessssssss. Mami! La Perra is in the house!"

Yara Sofia is always unhinged. You gotta love her. What is this chain dress thing? I really have no idea, but she's selling it to me. Living proof that a vibe and good energy can really do a lot for you.

46. Yara Sofia (All Stars Season 6)

Entrance line: "I hope you like it doggy style."

A similarly bonkers moment for Yara, and again playing on the dog puns with her gold pup play mask. This makeup though... Those two black pits on her face are cosplaying as eyes and it looks like she did her contouring with an asphalt paver.

45. Roxxxy Andrews (All Stars Season 2)

Entrance line: "Thick and juicy's back, bitches."

Bitch Count: 6. There is absolutely nothing groundbreaking here for Roxxxy, but she is giving a baseline for everything an entrance should be. She looks good. The dress is flattering. Her hair and makeup are done well. Her entrance line is a reference to her trademark "thick and juicy" branding. It's simple but there is an elegance to it and it gets the job done.

44. A'Keria C. Davenport (All Stars Season 6)

Entrance line: "The one most fit to meet all the criteria. Screw all that. Just say hey, Miss A'Keria."

Okay, I think we could have workshopped this entrance line a bit. It's referencing a couple of different moments from her original season, including the lyrics in her verse to "Queens Everywhere." Unfortunately, I think she's trying to pack in a bit too much here and none of it is particularly clever. Her entrance look is beautiful, and I like the face shield/veil thing. I'm just unsure why she didn't go with a line about being Miss Ass Almighty.

43. Chi Chi DeVayne (All Stars Season 3)

Entrance line: "Wake up. Wake up. Wake up. This ain't no dream. I'm back. The bayou queen."

CHI CHI!!!!!!!!! Watching her joyful, exuberance pop up in bright yellow is such a gut punch as she was taken from us far too young. The ensemble itself wouldn't rank so hi if there wasn't the fact she'd made it from trash bags, a reference to her original entrance look and the critiques she received in her original season about her drag being cheap. She's another one who really sells the entrance. You can't watch Chi Chi bust into the Werk Room grinning and not grin yourself.

42. Shannel (All Stars Season 1)

Entrance line: "Hello hello. What's up? Do you like it?"

Okay, this entrance line is really bad. It's not even a line really. But I'm going to cut her some slack because this is Season 1 and they didn't really know what they were doing yet. While plenty of the Season 1 queens entered in items they could buy at the mall (Chad, Raven, Juju, Tammie, Latrice) Shannel is showing up in a FIT. The detailing on this jacket is opulent, and the other queens all make a reference to the fact she looks better than them. Shannel is trying hard with this look and that must be noted.

41. Alexis Mateo (All Stars Season 5)

Entrance line: "Boricua in the house to take the crown. Sickening, no?"

Unsure if this is sickening or not. It's the typical Alexis Mateo hair, a body suit, and a giant tulle cape. It certainly makes a statement and reps Puerto Rico, but is it sickening? Perhaps.

40. Monique Heart (All Stars Season 4)

Entrance line: "Honey, the face. The look. The me. Miss Monique Heart. Reclaiming my time. Reclaiming my crown. RuPaul where's my check at?"

Someone could have used an editor. Mine would have trimmed this line down by two-thirds. We are looking for an economy of words, and Monique decided to give us four different lines mashed into one commencement-length address. The outfit looks EXPENSIVE (if a bit cluttered) which I think is what she was going for after getting critiques for looking cheap on her first season. She'd be higher on the list if she'd just walked in and said, "Brown Cow. Stunning."

39. Gia Gunn (All Stars Season 4)

Entrance line: "Step aside boys, cuz the real queen is here."

Is this look better than every single one at Drag Con 2022? Based on her now-infamous tweet, I think she'd say yes. I do really like the look, which is a chicer version of Monique's from the same season. Very Romeo + Juliet. That said, this entrance line is just okay. It's again referencing the fact that she's a trans woman competing with male drag queens, but it's not as clever as Jiggly's line, or those of other trans queens in Drag Race herstory. I would love Gia on every season, though. Such good drama.

38. Detox (All Stars Season 2)

Entrance line: "Well this is hauntingly familiar. Here we go again."

AH, the cleverness to cosplay as a sheepdog. Really nothing about this look should work, and yet somehow it does. Why the sunglasses? Why the neon bra? Why those giant earrings? IDK but I'm into it. Also, the disdain with which she delivers her line elevates it. That's called inflection, folks.

37. Pandora Boxx (All Stars Season 1)

Entrance line: "Did somebody order a hooker?"

Pandora is a clever queen. In Season 1, when everyone else was just calling each other bitches, she walks in and delivers this line. I sort of don't understand the royal wedding fascinator/zebra corset/ruffles on the dress, but I'm willing to overlook some of that in the name of camp especially when the entrance line is so strong.

36. Latrice Royale (All Stars Season 4)

Entrance line: None

Okay I had a hard time sorting out the three non-traditional entrances on the All-Stars season because they don't have entrance lines, but I'm ranking them all in a row here as there is a certain level of iconic-ness to them in their uniqueness. In Season 1 the queens were disastrously paired together in teams, something that was quickly done away with in Season 2. Half of the 12 queens have been invited back since then (I imagine as a sort of apology for screwing them over). Latrice and Manila were brought back handcuffed together at the beginning of Season 4 as part of a jump scare to make the queens think the ghastly format had returned, before being told they were just joining the cast. Latrice sells it with her smirk, but ultimately her gown, while pretty, is fairly standard, so I'm putting her third of the three.

35. BeBe Zahara Benet (All Stars Season 3)

Entrance line: None

A step up from that is Drag Race Season 1 winner, BeBe, who was brought on to compete in All Stars 3. Ru introduces her last, and I love her gown with the cape and the blunt bob. BeBe is a very underrated queen IMHO. Wish she was back for Season 7.

34. Manila Luzon (All Stars Season 4)

Entrance line: None

Manila is ranked the highest just because her gown is a reference to the Big Bird dress from her original season that everybody hated (and she lip-synced in). The added roadkill element is a fun play on how bad the original was. If Manila came in wearing this dress and delivered a strong line, she'd be much higher in the ranking. 

33. Trinity the Tuck (All Stars Season 4)

Entrance line: "Yes. The body is back."

We got a lot going on here. The body bag prop. The neon green dress made out of zip-ties. The bright orange wig. It's all trying just a little too hard. Also, I really don't love the necklace/dog collar thing here, and the opening line, while a reference to her being "the body," is pretty standard.

32. Blair St. Clair (All Stars Season 5)

VH1

Entrance line: "Well I do declare. Blair St. Clair is all grown up now. Bitches."

Blair saying "bitches" at the end of her entrance line (Bitch Count: 7) is giving the same energy as Miranda Cosgrove saying, "I actually do cuss a little." The young, cutesy, musical theater queen from her original season was desperate to be taken seriously as a hot, sexy adult on All Stars. This look (including her signature wet hair) looked great, and she somehow makes the bright orange work despite being pale. That being said, she recycles Ru's runway refrain of "I do declare," and just adds "bitches."

31. Shea Coulee (All Stars Season 7)

Entrance line: "Oh I didn't know I needed an introduction."

More monochrome orange. This is a clever take on the entrance line as Shea stands there looking at her hand-held mirror for a beat before delivering the line. Well done. I also like the look and the slick-backed hair. This just seems veeeeeeeeeeeeeeery similar to the look Jaida won in a few years ago, which I think was also better than this.

30. Valentina (All Stars Season 4)

Entrance line: "The fan favorite is here."

Breathtaking. This is so damn beautiful, that I don't care that the entrance line is garbage. Valentina is a fashion queen and this Playboy bunny meets deflated leather balloon look is exquisite. If I was judging solely on the outfit, this would be top 10 easily. Just incredible.

29. Ginger Minj (All Stars Season 2)

Entrance line: "Come on, All Stars. Let's get...this over with."

And for the inverse of Valentina, we have Ginger Minj's first entrance where the brilliantly delivered line makes up for not one, but two awful outfits. The take-off-the-ugly-coat-to-reveal-an-uglier-bathing-suit move is a miss, but the line, a play on Laganja Estranja's "Come on, Season 6. Let's get sickening" is so funny. The way she deadpans is perfect comedic timing. If only she'd worn literally anything else.

28. Monet X Change (All Stars Season 4)

Entrance line: "Guess who's black in the house, bitch?"

The House of Bitch welcomes its eighth member. This is another example of a great line making up for a look at a Jujubee-level of not trying on the outfit (and a wig stolen from Miz Cracker). I don't think we need the "bitch" but the pun on "black" is well done. Simple. Clever. Timeless.

27. Pandora Boxx (All Stars Season 6)

Entrance line: "I have a box for delivery. But I heard you only accept them in the rear."

I told y'all that Pandora was a funny motherfucker. You can't hear this line and not think "oh, she's clever." It's a great pun on her name and a reminder to the girls of Season 6 as to what she does best. The dress is beautiful if a bit too drapey and lacking a bit of visual interest.

26. Jinkx Monsoon (All Stars Season 7)

Paramount+

Entrance line: "Line."

In the camp of Pandora is also Jinkx Monsoon, who is just endlessly hilarious and rode that quirky humor all the way to the crown in her original season. This floral robe number is not the most innovative entrance look, but it fits her well and suits her figure. The signature red hair isn't too distracting, and the way she freezes, looks nervous, and then says "line" as if she needs a prompter is genius. Excited to see what else Jinkx has up her (very large, flowy) sleeve this season.

25. Alexis Mateo (All Stars Season 1)

Entrance line: "The jig is up, bitches."

Is this look good? Is it terrible? Is it so terrible that it loops back around to being miraculous? The lace. The leather corset. The Chanel earrings. The purple glittery face mask. The chunky belt. Have I somehow been Stockholm Syndromed by Alexis Mateo's giant hair? I don't know, but, Daddy, I love it! The reference to her line from the original season also works well here in its simplicity. Bitch Count: 9.

24. India Ferrah (All Stars Season 5)

Entrance line: "India 2.0 here. Remodeled, remastered, and ready for action."

So the back of that hair is a little dry and so is the entrance line, but I LOVE the "old school" spangles on the back of the dress. I love the reveal (which is especially good given that when she turned around, you still didn't remember who she was). The flowy dress. The puffed sleeves. The lacy leggings. The cleavage. This is a gorgeous dress and the color works really well for the sort of dated motif she's going for here. If you are returning to the competition with your only memorable moment being picked up by Mimi Imfurst then you better return with a bang, and this dress does it.

23. Tatianna (All Stars Season 2)

Entrance line: "Thank you."

Tatianna is the best kind of Drag Race queen: not afraid to be controversial, ready to kill a lip sync, and self-aware of her branding. Her nasally "thank you" dripping in sarcasm and disdain is one I quote often, and using it as her entrance line works so well. This outfit isn't breaking the mold, but she looks incredible in it. The gold into the mesh on the sleeves is a great combo paired with the chunky gold necklace. And then there is that slick middle part and the flawless makeup. This is FISH. Bring Back Tati ASAP.

22. Morgan McMichaels (All Stars Season 3)

Entrance line: "I look pretty good for a dead bitch."

QUOTABLE. If you watch Drag Race and you don't regularly quote "I look pretty good for a dead bitch" to your friends, then you are missing out. The overly teased hair and nude dress are a bit whatever, but the line is so good, especially since no one expected her return after an early boot on Season 2. This is the kind of power that an entrance line can have, and it pains me whenever someone delivers pure drivel. This is also the best use of "bitch" in an entrance line. Bitch Count: 10.

21. Alyssa Edwards (All Stars Season 2)

Entrance line: "Awlright. My name is Alyssa Edwards, and I need I need I need I need to get up in this All Star gig. *tongue pop*."

Alyssa Edwards is not a person. She is a vibe beamed in from some magical planet in the form of a drag queen. It is physically impossible for her to be anything but hilarious. This entrance line is a convoluted mess but her Alyssa Edwards delivery is so incredible that it doesn't matter. She looks beautiful (that hair! that bow!) and that beauty plus her general demeanor is miraculous. *tongue pop*

20. Shangela (All Stars Season 3)

Entrance line: "Looks like the box got an upgrade and so did I. Halleloo. I'm back bitches. Again."

A bit gimmicky. A bit too long of an intro. A bit too simple of a look. But it all still really works. After popping out of the box in Season 3, this is a fun reference to her past, and the "halleloo" on her skirt and in her entrance are her trademark line. Her hair looks on point, and the skirt gives her a nice silhouette. Well executed and Bitch Count: 11.

19. Eureka O'Hara (All Stars Season 6)

Entrance line: "Eureka you found it. Again. And again. And again. Well, maybe third times a charm. Hell."

This is a smidge too busy what with the arm ruffles and the pattern and the hip cages and the wig, but it is giving Marie Antoinette opulence in a way that makes sense and looks expensive. This is definitely not a dress from the mall. The entrance line also could have used a tiny bit of streamlining, but Eureka is a chatty girl and it somehow fits the bill.

18. The Vivienne (All Stars Season 7)

Paramount+

Entrance line: "Don't you just love a long, hard, stiff competition."

Okay, we've reached the highest echelon of All-Stars entrances. No more "well the line was good and made up for the look." Everyone henceforth will be serving looks while delivering strong opening statements. The Vivienne's Maleficent-esque horned look isn't as ostentatious as things to come but the arm-warmers and bodice combined with the wide-legged trouser are very elegant. Her makeup is always perfect, and the hair adds a bit of camp. Her cheeky, dirty opener is also enhanced by the fact she's the only queen here with a British accent. Definitely one to watch this season if the entrance is any indication.

17. Jan (All Stars Season 6)

Entrance line: "I'm backpack backpack back again."

This entrance line is a clever nod to the fact that Jan went by Jan Sport until she had to chop the back half of her name for legal reasons upon her arrival to the franchise. The purple luggage-meets-K-pop two-piece is also a playful out-of-the-box moment that nods to her singing talents. The judges may have never warmed to the queen of trying too hard, but she nailed her entrance.

16. Adore Delano (All Stars Season 2)

Entrance line: "Meow."

It's so simple, but so strong. A bit reminiscent of Pearl's "Sup" on Season 7, it's perfect because of how understated it is. Adore's grunge look may not be to everyone's taste as its certainly lacks the ribbons and ruffles often associated with drag, but she executes '90s Seattle well. The makeup is perhaps a bit too orange here (I'm not joking, bitch), but it's a one-of-a-kind look and not soon forgettable.

15. Trixie Mattel (All Stars Season 3)

Entrance line: "Oh honey. That's how I roll."

Trixie is a grade A idiot. To roller skate in with her big hair and floral spandex jumpsuit and knee pads is deliciously stupid. The hair is tremendous. The eye makeup is her doll-like signature. I kind of wish the entrance was a bit more clever than a rollerskating pun, but I can't complain. The fact that Aja comes in on a scooter shortly after this is a bit embarrassing for her. Roller blades are just funnier. It is known.

14. Katya (All Stars Season 2)

Entrance line: "Счастливые голодные игры... Суки! ("Happy Hunger Games. Bitches.”)

And just to piss off Trixie, I'm putting Katya one spot higher. She switches up the "bitch" (Bitch Count: 12) by speaking it in Russian, but it qualifies. The Soviet ensemble is a callback to her original entrance look, and while the dress is pretty simple, adding a matching eyepatch is very fun. The producers were smart to send Katya and Trixie both in first during their seasons, knowing they'd have witty banter and comments for the rest of the queens.

13. Miz Cracker (All Stars Season 5)

Entrance line: "And cracktion."

Miz Cracker is my favorite Ru Girl. She should have won Season 10. She should have won All Stars 5. She should be back on All Stars 7 to win again. No one is as clever as she is, and I will die defending her. I'd let her have the door if we were on a sinking ship. I'd let the Orcs shoot me with arrows while she ran off. I'd duel Darth Vader while she escaped on the Millennium Falcon. This is all to say, I cannot be trusted to rank her without bias. The play on "and action" is a deliciously, simply, masterfully stupid pun. Her big hair is quaffed to perfection. The feathery little strapless dress is vintage '50s aesthetic done right. Miz Cracker I love you, and in my heart, you've got the #1 slot.

12. Farrah Moan (All Stars Season 4)

Entrance line: "Oooooooooooooooooo."

Talk about a glow up. Farrah came back for All Stars and walked in looking like this. Fish. The pink Marilyn Monroe wig is immaculate. The showgirl corset fits great. Her entrance line making fun of how much she cried and whined on her original season is smart and simple. On the episode, other queens are coming for her ass, but I don't think her ass looks bad. Haters gonna hate, but I'm not one of them.

11. Manila Luzon (All Stars Season 1)

Entrance line: "See. This is how you do drag girls."

And the best entrance of Season 1 goes to Miss Manila Luzon. She strutted in and informed the competition that she was the best one there (and tbh she was and would have won if not for the teams twist). This Cruella de Vil-inspired look is an elevated version of her original entrance look, and the cigarette holder fascinator is divine. Just barely falling outside the top 10.

10. Shea Coulee (All Stars Season 5)

Entrance line: "I'm black."

This print. This color combo. Ugh. Inject it right into my veins. I love the hat box (?) she's carrying as an accessory. I love how the color transfers into her makeup. Shea came to Season 5 demanding the crown and there was really very little doubt Ru was going to give it to her. This look proved it. My only tiiiiiiiiiiiiny qualm is that she's also making a back/black pun one season after Monet X Change. It's a great pun (and I think the better of the two), but it feels a bit copycat.

9. Scarlet Envy (All Stars Season 6)

Entrance line: "Off to the races."

If you want to give out a prize for sheer audacious, bombastic, life-giving stupidity then no one is competing with Scarlet Envy. I don't know where she got the idea for a MASSIVE tie-die (plush?) Kentucky Derby-inspired outfit, but the thing is so ridiculously giant that it circles from bad back around to wonderful. The entrance line works in tandem with the outfit perfectly. This is a fully realized vision straight from hell in the best way possible.

8. Yvie Oddly (All Stars Season 7)

Entrance line: *evil laugh* "Don't mind me. I just evened the odds."

Like Monet X Change in Season 7, Yvie is doing a play on her name, but "evening the odds" works much better than "Monet changes everything." And then there is this outfit. The LA Lakers threw up on Yvie and created a trench coat monster. Yvie's style is kooky and she's bringing that here with her strange Troll Doll-meets-construction-paper hair and her mismatched eye contacts. If this is Yvie's entrance look, then I am very excited to see what else she's bringing to this season.

7. Kylie Sonique Love (All Stars Season 6)

Paramount+

Entrance Line: "Oooo girl. You got female."

This is the heightened version of what Jiggly and Gia were attempting with their female puns. It's the perfect play on RuPaul's "Oooo girl. You got She-Mail," and unlike Jiggly, who didn't bring it on the outfit front, this red bodysuit with matching hat and sunglasses is god tier. With this level of entrance, the other queens should have been shaking in their boots (and they would be eventually as she sent them all home one by one).

6. Milk (All Stars Season 3)

Entrance line: "I just farted."

The best entrance of Season 3 belongs to Milk (unfortunately, it was all downhill from here for them). This look, which they describe as "denim Pinocchio," is quirky couture. The dome hat hair and high heel chaps pull together the bizarre, editorial look. All of this juxtaposed with the ridiculous entrance line creates something instantly iconic and it stood out in a season of more standard/pageant-y drag looks.

5. Naomi Smalls (All Stars Season 4)

Entrance Line: "You can't spell legendary without 'leg'."

And winning Season 4's entrance competition we have Naomi Smalls. Her brand is LEG, and that's what she's delivering here. The tulle-sleeved purple leotard might normally be read as simple, but let's be real, there was no way she was walking in with a stitch of fabric covering those giraffe appendages. Her entrance line also references the legs in a clever way. Naomi Smalls is pretty but she's smart, too. Let's not forget.

4. Alaska (All Stars Season 2)

Entrance line: "Greetings. My message for the human race is really quite simple. Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii."

No one is doing Alaska but Alaska, and this avant-garde, sci-fi opening is pure Alaska. The trash bag gown paired with the gloves and intentionally crafty umbrella prop gives the whole thing a homemade feel in the best way imaginable. Her signature beehive is on display with a massive black bow, and her makeup is perfect per usual. The squeaky "hiiiiiiii" takes the camp ridiculousness to a level that gives her the best entrance of Season 2.

3. Raja (All Stars Season 7)

Entrance line: "Did somebody call for an icon?"

Way way back in Season 3 when Raja entered the Werk Room for the first time, no one was trying particularly hard to stand out upon arrival. Raja said "you will remember me" entering with a cyclops cap pulled down over her face. Now, finally returning to the Werk Room as a winner, she's proving her originality yet again. While her competitors wobbled in wearing a series of drab gowns and bodysuits, Raja busts in wearing this gorgeous textured gold dress with a breathtaking eye-shaped headpiece. Both the headpiece and the entrance line are in reference to her original one-eyed cap and also her status as the original fashion queen winner of the show. I am #TeamRaja for All Stars 7 and hope she continues to put the rest of the winners to shame.

2. Silky Nutmeg Ganache (All Stars Season 6)

Entrance line: "Season 11 I came for the lunch. All Stars 6 I'm coming for the dinner. Look out, bitch. I am your winner."

This list wouldn't be complete without one last "bitch," bringing the Bitch Count to an unlucky 13. The rhyming entrance line is perhaps a bit too ostentatious, but so is everything about this entrance in the best way possible. I honestly think this is Silky's best look of her entire two seasons on the show. The way it's part tulle dress/part jumpsuit. The glove on one hand evens it out, and the hair (a campy five yards of anal beads wrapped around her wrist) is perhaps the best on this list. And then we get to the gag that she has an entire glass of milk shoved into her bodice. It's an elevated callback to her original entrance in which she also ate a cookie (dry that time). Silky would go on to establish herself as THE lip-sync assassin of the entire franchise (the fact she lost to Eureka is a crock). She's always known how to land a gimmick and this look proved she could also do high fashion.

1. Ongina (All Stars Season 5)

Entrance line: "So y'all thought I'd never get here. Sorry. I was stuck in traffique."

EXPENSIVE. That is what this look is giving. You've seen 72 other looks on this list (73 if you count both of Derrick Barry's) and nothing looks this intricate, professional, and well-crafted. After being a fan favorite on the show's first (Vaseline glossed) season, it took Ongina over a decade to return to the Werk Room. Boy did she return with a bang. The traditional Filipino garb and headdress looked heavy and rattled as she entered. Even the other queens on the season said she blew them out of the water. This is a finale-level look that Ongina wore on day one. The entrance line is equally strong, acknowledging the fact that she'd been gone too long. The pronunciation of "traffic" should be the only way we're allowed to pronounce the word. This is the reason you watch Drag Race. Good luck to the Season 8 girls who try to top this.
