Pokemon Go; A Brief Take On The Game

This article shares some of my insight on the game

Pokemon Go; A Brief Take On The Game

Several days in and Pokemon Go has become a national phenomenon.

Pokemon Go is currently the number one downloadable app.

The game has augmented reality and brought the animated characters of Pokemon into real life locations.

The servers have crashed several times over and people are still having issues using the app.

People of all walks of life are already addicted to Pokemon Go because of its unique take on gaming.

Personally, I am not a gamer, but I have found myself among the mindless drones trekking the streets in search of Pokemon. If it were not for the limited amount of data received from my wireless carrier I would be lost to the game forever.

Stories have flooded Facebook and other social media sites about how dangerous the app has been to people who focus too much on their device and the game.

One report claims that a car accident happened in Las Vegas because of a 26-year-old man who was trying to catch a Pikachu as he drove his vehicle.

One hospital had to inform its employees about the game because too many kids have been entering the hospital in search of Pokemon.

The game uses landmarks as points of interest and the hospital happens to be one.

People have been caught trespassing in many locations. I almost trespassed into a local church because the app directed me to. Fortunately, I'm sane enough to realize that that would be a mistake.

Another story claims that a young woman found herself a dead body while on her quest to becoming the very best Pokemon trainer.

Pokemon Go has become a meme goldmine.

People have found Pokemon in ironic and often times bizarre and inappropriate locations. Locations include; frying pans, the bathroom and even on one individual's groin.

However, one good thing has come out of this travesty. Kids are actually heading outdoors and discovering what the sky and sun look and feel like.

Kids will once again gain some color on their pale mole rat skin. Maybe this is the cure for obesity and vitamin D deficiency.

Pokemon Go creators will soon release a wearable gadget that would eliminate the need to constantly pull out ones phone. It would vibrate and change colors to inform users of nearby Pokemon. It would also inform players about whether or not the anime creature was captured by a Pokeball.

    The wearable goes for $35.

Have fun people. Be safe and don't forget to use some common sense. No need dying over an imaginary animals.
