An Argument Against A 16:9 iPhone

The screen is clearly the argument about the next iPhone. Will it be the same size or bigger? And if it's bigger, how? The issue with changing the aspect ratio is fragmentation, something that basically doesn't exist in the iPhone ecosystem now, at least with regards to different sized displays. John Gruber suspects if the new phone is bigger, it will involve changing the aspect ratio to maintain pixel density. Jesus Diaz argues they simply will not change the screen size. Both are rarely wrong about Apple.
