10 Reasons Why Elizabeth Warren Should Be The First (F)POTUS

We get it— Freshman senator Elizabeth Warren has again and again declared she is “not going to run for President”, but there are tons of evidence that suggest why she is made to be the first Female President of the United States.

1. She is liberal Democrats’ favorite politician.

According to a recent poll, Sen. Warren has even more popular votes than President Obama does in Massachusetts.

2. She has a fresh face.

The Democrats need someone refreshing to bring in new energy to the Party. A new poll, commissioned by the Des Moines Register, shows that 49% will choose “a fresh face who will represent a new generation with new ideas.”

3. She is a prolific fundraiser.

Warren raised $1.1 million for her Democratic Party Colleagues, and $1 million for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. Speaks volume to her influence and popularity.

4. … did we mention she is smart?

Previously a Harvard Law professor, Warren is also recognized by National Law Journal and the Time 100 as an increasingly influential public policy figure. An author of 10 books, Warren’s most recent book: A Fighting Chance, is on sale now. Be sure to grab a copy.

5. She is big on helping college students.

Warren fought long and hard to help college students refinance their student loans at a lower rate through legislation. Despite the effort, her proposed bill was unfortunately blocked by the Senate Republicans. Bravo Senator, we appreciate your effort nonetheless!

6. She advocates for the middle class.

7. She is a true warrior who is not afraid to make enemies.

Though Warren is madly popular, when it comes down to enemies, there’s a list. (we don’t rule out frenemies) Fresh from the oven is Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, who blocked the student loan reform bill. Others include Former US Treasury secretary Tim Geithner (epic Youtube video from the hearing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Egc_5UAJIIk) and the big banks on Wall Street.

8. This is her last chance to run for Prez!

Warren will be 67 on the Presidential Inauguration in 2017 - if she ever wanted to change her mind. (While Clinton will be 69). Though McCain was 72 when he ran against Obama, being president in 2020 for Warren is a bit of a stretch.

9. Not to fear, still plenty of time to decide.

Warren’s fundraising committee believes that Warren meant it when she said she is not running, but hey, let’s be hopeful here — many candidates said they are not running 2 years before the election anyway. (our very own President Obama included)

10. … Last but not least: she will be the first FPOTUS!

Not to suggest POTUS has to be male by default, and it can be for either gender. But if either Clinton or Warren becomes President, it will be the first time in history when a female President of the United States runs the nation. What do you guys think of the title?
