We Slid Into The DMs Of Several Politicians While They Were Supposed To Be Working

"Phone is at 3% apologies if I drop out."

It's no secret: Malcolm Turnbull is killing Question Time atm.

Riding high on public support, the new PM has spent the last few weeks swatting away attacks from Labor, admitting to the world he's super rich and looking ~very~ happy with himself in the process.

The opposition - so successful at drawing mistakes and gaffes from Tony Abbott during QT - is struggling to land blows against Turnbull, whose latest approval rating was an astronomical 68%.

Frustrated, rowdy Labor backbenchers are now turning to Twitter to throw sledges at Turnbull and his team

BuzzFeed News decided to slide right into the Twitter DMs of three of the angriest, most vocal MPs: South Australian MP Nick Champion, Queensland MP Terri Butler and Victorian MP Tim Watts.

To get some perspective... here's where the Labor MPs (all considered future frontbench talent) sit in the chamber.

And during Wednesday's Question Time we interviewed them about what was happening, while Bill and Malcolm went head-to-head...

(Yes. This is 100% them on their phones answering our questions.)

It started with Watts claiming that Malcolm is a little bit in 💖💖💖💖 with Malcolm.

Champion looked back to the Romans for an analogy.

Cicero was a Roman politician, known for his lofty speeches. Cataline was a rival who tried to overthrow him twice, but was found out and run out of Rome.

The Victorian had an even better analogy...

As questions on the China Free Trade Agreement came up, we found out that somehow it was part of Labor's legacy.

There's been some confusion in the Press Gallery about the definition of "Malsplaining"... so we got the official definition.

For those non-Latin speakers, "res ipsa loquitor" means "the thing speaks for itself".

One of the issues that sends Labor into a lather is the National Broadband Network. It emerged this week the Turnbull government had bought 1800km of copper to complete the project.

The government switched to a "cheaper" version of the NBN when it came to power, claiming it was all about finishing Labor's plans and giving it to more people.

And Butler said the PM is not living up to the promise on his cheaper broadband project.

We were wondering whether cross-benchers claim there's more "love" in the air since the arrival of Turnbull. Champion was having NONE of it.

Over on our other thread we lost Butler.

Labor's also taken to targeting new treasurer Scott Morrison. Watts had quite the metaphor for the man from Sydney's southern beaches.

As QT came to a close (with new rules on the horizon) we wondered, how could you FIX it?

Reminder: This is the House of Commons version of Question Time called "Prime Minister's Questions". It's rowdy AF.
