You prep as much as you can, but somehow you're always left scrambling at the last minute.

You loosen up considerably once the party gets going.

If you've got a pet around, it becomes the main attraction.

People will annoyingly gravitate towards your kitchen.

There will definitely be at least one person at your party that you've never seen before.

You will see your party friends, who you never see outside of parties.

You will be impressed by how attractive all your attendees are.

The reality of becoming another year older will slowly dawn on you.

You will wind up with more booze than you know what to do with.
14.
Eventually you will settle in to being the center of attention.
15.
You will be pleasantly surprised by who ends up being the last person to leave your party.
16.
And if everything goes well, you'll certainly pay for it the next day.
