16 Reasons Why You Should Go To Vision Quest

1. The beach...

It's the only way to spend your spring break… at the beach. Ocean, sand, fun in the sun.

2. The most beautiful sunsets everyday…

and sunrises if you're a morning person. #nofilter #psalm19:1

3. Someone will bite the sand...

Every year, as soon as we get off the bus, all the guys, except Mike Kelly, paint up, give a Braveheart speech, and rush the beach. This year, someone will probably fall and bite the sand causing everyone else to fall too. If you're a dude, it's your chance to become a man. If you're a girl, it's your chance to make fun of them.

4. All the plewniak kids will be there…

Lily, Tess, Freeman, Knox, and Zeke: They are super cute, super fun, they love students, and you can serve them!

5. Robby will probably sing something… and Brett too.

Always there to entertain us.

6. The messages alone are worth the trip

7. Hang out with the pastors and their wives.

Bring your hardest theological question, play basketball with them, tell them about your life, or encourage them. Bill time = All the time

8. Meet your new friends...

You get to know people who you've seen all year or people you've never meet before. You also get to know people in a more personal level.

9. The food is soo good...

During the year, you always have to worry about what you’ll eat, where you’ll eat, and who you’re going to eat with. At VQ, all the meals are prepared, you get a ton of food, and all your friends are there to sit with you. It’s like having a home cooked meal everyday day!

10. The talent show...

People in VFC have some serious talent… some better than others, but you’d never know it unless you came to VQ and watched it at the talent show. Last year, we all found out that Hambone can sing well, Carmen Ruby has serious bball skills, and the VFC house guys love The Bachelor.

11. Tournaments...

If you're into sports, VQ is for you. If you're not into sports, VQ is for you. You can choose.

12. It's good for your soul...

You get to have unhurried, undistracted, unlimited time experiencing the Grace of God. You might find yourself having quite time by the ocean, going for a walk, or reading without having to worry about school, work, or anything else. It's like a little glimpse of heaven!

13. You get to see your friend’s lives transform and proclaim the work that God has done in them.

14. All your other friends who didn’t go to VQ will be jealous

You will come back and be tagged in so many pictures, have a ton of new friend requests, and inside jokes that your friends will be jealous that you had such and awesome time at VQ.

15. You will be surprised...

No matter how much we tell you about VQ, you can't fully know until you're there and other things will surprise you. Who will win the manliest man award? Who will win the red lobster award?

16. Every other spring break plan is lame...

You have to work? Study? Play with your cats? Give me a reason why you’re NOT going to vision quest, and we’ll tell you why it’s lame and not a good excuse.
