Everyone knows the typical crossbreeds, the puggle, and the labradoodle. But in recent years dog crossbreeds have become much more popular. Here is a list of 15 of the cutest crossbreeds you may need to go out and buy right now.
This ball of fluff, a bernedoodle, combines a Bernese Mountain Dog and a poodle. SwissRidge Kennels breed these cuties specially, and started in 2003.
Bernedoodle's suit anyone looking for a fun, sociable, goofy dog. Also great for families looking for child friendly dogs. They learn quickly and treat children with care. With half their genes stemming from a poodle these dogs are low shedders.
This small explosion of cute crosses a Chihuahua and a Beagle. The dog ends up on the smaller side, since both parent breeds are relatively small. Overall the cheagle head mirrors a beagle with a chihuahua snout.
Both parent dogs are ultimately hard to train, meaning a cheagle pup isn't the best for a house full of children. But, it doesn't need as much exercise as the big dogs on this list, so for the lazy dog owner it works perfectly.
Another poodle (because who doesn't want a dog that never sheds?) cross bred with a Wheaton Terrier. They can be bred in three sizes, miniature, medium, or standard.
They enjoy playing with children, and are affectionate, and intelligent dogs over all. Though if you're looking for an alert dog, ready to bark at intruders, you will not find that in the whoodle.
Originally from Alaska the parents of an afador are an Afghan hound and a labrador retriever. This dog will bounce off the walls in a typical labrador fashion. They find outside more comfortable than the indoors.
Afador's bodies lean on the labrador side, with an afghan head. These dogs play well with children, but might need to go to an obedience school for training, they're a stubborn bunch.
A cross between a golden retriever and a poodle, the Goldendoodle shows off those cute poodle curls and signature golden retriever color. Like their cousins the Bernedoodle families with children will love these dogs.
With both retriever and poodle blood they are highly intelligent dogs, with other positive traits: goofy, loving, and loyal. Since half their genes stem from a poodle they don't shed, a definite bonus.
A large amount of fluff (Alaskan malamute) and an energetic favorite (labrador retriever) meet and fall in love. Around two months later arrives a litter of Alaskan Malador's
These dogs take after lab's in body shape, and huskies in face and coloring for the most part. These guys burst with energy, making them great for the outdoor adventurer. But you may also want to invest in a good vacuum, these dogs shed like crazy.
The best of both hemispheres in this dog. An American Bulldog and an Australian Shepherd combined to form this adorable American Bull-Aussie.
Generally taking on the coat of a Bulldog and build of an Australian Shepherd these dogs are loyal and courageous. They will protect a family when the time comes, making them great for families.
Everyone loves Corgi's, and the equally cute, Australian Shepherd (Aussie) is a popular dog for cross breeding. Both parents fall into the herding dog category, making this an energetic crossbreed.
Their coats vary in color. Their coat follows the Aussie, longer, softer hair than the Corgi. In size they run from 20-50 pounds, the males leaning on the heavier side.
Two dogs most people would not put together, a Pomeranian and a husky combined to make a rumble, tumble, ball of joy known as the Pomsky. Like the pomeranian in them, these dogs are perfect for cuddling. They grow to a medium dog size, but can grow larger thanks to the husky side.
They do gain their husky parents soft coat, with the same coloring of black, grey, and white. They do spend roughly half the year shedding however.
A herding dog and a hunting dog meet up on the farm... and thus the Gollie. A cross between a golden retriever and a border collie. The gollie takes after both parents in size and weight, running around 50-75 pounds.
Their coloring varies from dog to dog, switching between collies and retrievers. They are high energy, and great with children. The perfect dog for running around in the fall leaves.
Both parents of this cutie are normally stocky things. But boxermans bring the build and coat of a Doberman Pinscher and a boxer together. They also carry the same loyal instincts.
Boxerman's don't need extra special grooming, or a special home. They just need lots of good natured fun to prevent boredom tied behavior, like chewing, digging, or barking.
Two tiny dogs got together and created this tiny bundle of cute: the paperanian. Child of a Pomeranian and a Papillon, this dog has a long coat which requires a lot of up keep.
Tiny in size, but big in personality, these dogs love to interact with new people and dogs. They will bark along with other dogs. With their small size these dogs need lots of exercise, but for you that means a quick walk around the block.
Crossed between a Cocker Spaniel and a Shiba Inu the shocker (dog not hand gesture) has a unique temperament. They may be stubborn and independent at times, but love to be with their owners.
Shocker's learn quickly, and love to play with other dogs. They're relatively low on the exercise scale, meaning they're the perfect dog for your indoor dog needs.
Everyone's favorite firehouse pup, and the friendly neighborhood golden retriever combine into this soft spotted beauty. The Goldmation.
The coat can range from white with black spots, to the traditional browns and golds of a golden retriever. They are a bit pigheaded however, they must be trained from puppy-dom to know they are not the leaders of this pack. Once properly trained, they're energetic and fun loving dogs, great for children.
Another golden retriever mix, the cogol's parents are a retriever and a Cocker Spaniel. This gives the cogol a silky, shiny coat in shades of warm golds and browns.
These dogs love playing, and are especially fond of water. They shed twice a year, during the summer, and just after winter, so typical grooming is necessary. Just perfect for that summer house in Malibu you've always wanted.
