Using the Hole saw, drill four evenly spaced 1-1/4in holes into the wood.

Sand away the splinters.

In a well-ventilated area, spray paint and shellac the wooden stand.

Cut four 7.5in pieces out of some wooden dowels.

When paint is fully dry, use wood glue to attach the four dowels onto the base. Let dry for at least 3 hours.

Cut out a 10in x 7.5in rectangle out of the scrapbook paper. Cut a scalloped edge using scissors.

Using hot glue, glue the awning piece onto the four wooden posts.
