Dark and gritty may be the way of TV recently, but shows that utilize the full color spectrum always do wonders to boost the spirit. These ten in particular are so bright that you might, well, need sunglasses.

The premise sounds dark—a 29-year-old woman adjusts to life in New York after her rescue from a doomsday cult—but the show is anything but.
