1. The Hair Lounge, Westbourne Park

Fronted by Charlotte Mensah,a critically acclaimed and award winning natural hair stylist, The Hair Lounge comes highly recommended. You can rest easy that you'll be in good hands here.

2. Adornment 365, Brixton

Adornment is especially good for those with locs or dreads. With prices that won't knock your socks off, and a well trained team of stylists, this is definitely a place you can trust. Check out their website for prices.

3. Aveda, Covent Garden

Believe it or not, Aveda (a salon that I would normally assume specialises in European hair) have a specialist in natural hair with years of experience at their Covent Garden branch.

This one comes with a bigger price tag, so if you're looking for luxury-,this is the place to go. They also have a great product list, which according to many natural hair blogs, work really well with afro hair.

4. Errol Douglas, Knightsbridge

If you're looking for luxury, Errol Douglas' salon is another high end salon that's great with natural hair.

With a whole team of dedicated afro hair stylists, Errol trains each of his team in the "Errol Douglas" way. Having tamed the tresses of pretty much everyone in the biz, Errol and his team have extensive knowledge on European & Afro hair alike. You'll leave turning heads for sure.

5. Afrotherapy, Edmonton

Afrotherapy's USP is that they offer a "transitioning" service for those with relaxed / treated hair looking to get their hair back to its natural state. To see more of the services they offer, click here

6. KHAIRMAX, Stratford

KHAIRMAX specialises in installing hair extensions. If you're looking for more length, or want a full head of weave to give your natural hair some protection- they have some incredible invisible closures that look just like the real thing.

Also, they have a great youtube with really useful tutorials.

7. Zizuo Hair & Beauty, Lewisham

With rave reviews on natural hair sites like NoScrunchie, Zizuo offers clients a range of treatment, but is best known for its colour treatments.

Check out more of their styles and services here.

8. Forbes Cheveux, Tottenham

Forbes is an independent and mobile hair stylist who gives clients the option to have their hair done in the comfort of their own home, or hers. She specialises in braids, single plaits and weave which can often take a long time. So for me, there's a huge bonus in not having to sit in an uncomfortable salon for hours.

Although she's just started out, this girl knows her stuff.

9. Philip Eric Hair, London, Paris, LA

Philip is another independent stylist, who moves around a lot. He specialises in weave, with his versatile weaves being (in my opinion) the best in London.

If you want something natural looking that you can treat just like your own hair, this is your man.

10. Kannis Beauty, Surrey Quays

Kannis Undiscovered Beauty is a great spot for getting extensions or weave. With a relatively affordable price list and the guarantee of 100% virgin hair, Kannis not only install and style weave, but sell hair online too.

For the naturals reading this from outside of the UK, the good news is that they ship internationally. Check out their web store here.

11. ODB Hair, Covent Garden

Although not exactly a Hair Salon, for anyone looking for premium hair in London, I highly recommend ODB.

Their customer service team are extremely helpful, and once you've bought the hair there are a number of stylists their team can recommend. If you're looking for something you can dye / bleach without worrying about it, this should be your one stop shop. Visit their site here.

12. Sen Style Hair, Woolwich

Another salon which has received great reviews on NoScrunchie, Sen Style seems to have a lot of regular customers who swear they won't go anywhere else.

They offer a wide array of treatments and styles, from Brazillian Blowdry, to relaxing treatments and of course, natural hair care. They also only use specialist products, so if you're at a loss for what to use on your hair, these guys know what's best.

13. Rootz / Devine Rootz, Enfield

Not only does this salon cater to kids with natural hair too (a huge bonus if you have little ones), but they have their very own haircare line that is 100% natural and hand blended. What more could you want!

14. Natural Gloe, West London

Founded by Marlene Abuah, a completely self taught stylist, Natural Gloe offers a service that goes beyond hair.

With bridal and make-up treatments a part of the package, Marlene's salon is perfect if you prefer a more personal experience. She also only uses natural and organic products. Bonus! Book an appointment here.

A salon which is said to "stand out" due to its relaxing ambience, the team at Nefertiti's salon have over 20 years combined experience working with afro hair.

Charmaine (head stylist) is said to give great hair advice for those looking for some help in rejuvenating their natural hair. She uses some of the best products by Mizani to help ladies achieve their ideal look.
