Okay, so the other day I saw this tweet, and I was floored:
This was how Granma showed me how to sew in a straight nine.
The tip here is making little marks on your thumbnail so that all your stitches align at the same distance from the edge of the fabric.
I sew like, once a year (if that), but I still felt my life shifting under me once I gained this helpful information. It's a very tiny tip to greatly improve your life in a small way. But the small things add up, you knowwwww!
@AndersenAngus Brilliant! There is a saying “Any fool can make something complicated, it takes a genius to make it simple” - your Grandma’s tip is in the latter category!
