But since then McKayla has hung up her gymnast leotard (or put it wherever old leotards go) and now she's starting a music career. She said this to Us Weekly about what her music sounds like:

“I like to say my genre is vulnerable pop because it’s all melody and lyrically driven and heart driven.”

And not too long ago she teased some new "muisc" on her Snapchat.
