I Feel Old Because I'm Literally The Same Age As The Parents In "Rugrats"

    I'm old.

I hate to admit this publicly, but facts are facts and the truth is I'm not 23 anymore. I'm 32 WHOLE YEARS OLD. It hurts to say it out loud, because I'm not sure when it happened, but it did. I'm a single, childless 32-year-old (pity me). And to make everything worse, it turns out I'm now the same age as the Rugrats parents, who for some reason I always thought were like...60??? (Which I know makes no sense.)

Didi Pickles could literally have been in my third grade class, because in the series, she is 32. At this point in time, me and Didi Pickles — queen of statement necklaces — are the same exact age!!!

Her husband, Stu Pickles, is 33. But we could have been friends in high school.

    Betty Deville? Also 32.

And Howard Deville is ALSO 32. Literally my peer.

Charlotte Pickles is a TINY bit older, but barely. She's 34. A lot of my friends are 34. She could be my friend.

And Stu's older brother, Drew Pickles, is also 34. Younger than my brother!

Chaz Finster is 34 as well.

And Melinda Finster, Chuckie's mom, was only 32 when she died. Which is really sad and makes me want to cry right now.

Basically, if I was transported to Rugratsville and forced to be friends with only people my age, these parents would be my friend group. I'd be the only non-child-having thirtysomething in the group. BRB, CALLING MY THERAPIST.
