Everyone and their unborn children know that the Spice Girls' motto is "Girl Power."
It is literally etched into my brain. Like, the words "Girl Power" are carved into my actual brain organ.
But all of a sudden the Spice Girls (minus Posh) are saying that their new motto is PEOPLE POWER.
I mean, changing "girl power" to "people power," makes the whole message poo-poo!!!
I was fine when they altered it a bit to "woman power" I mean, women are just grown up girls...
But now I must say stop. Enough!
I will not allow "Girl Power" to shrivel up and die like a salted slug.
THE SPICE GIRLS' WHOLE THING IS ABOUT EMPOWERING GIRLS.
Literally since the beginning of time, that's what I've learned from them.
TBH I'm fairly certain that my small girl ears heard the word feminism for the first time after watching their iconic movie from 1997, Spice World.
So yah, while this "people power" mumbo jumbo is all la di da ra rah world peace n shit, "Girl Power" is the heart and soul of spice heads.
It is the foundation on which this group was built!
