As the playoffs quickly approach, some of us may be a tad concerned with the amount of baseball that will be on our TVs. But relax. The postseason is a wonderful time of the year. The games are more intense and the players are more heated. The pressure to perform is even greater, resulting in exciting celebrations and emotional victories. But if you are still not convinced, read on. Here are 28 very compelling reasons to sit yo ass down and enjoy the 2014 MLB postseason. Enjoy the sexy men of baseball.

1. Baltimore Orioles, Chris Davis

This powerhouse first baseman brings up more than just the Orioles slugging average...the team gets a major boost in the hottie department. I mean, look at those eyes! Whoa...just got lost for a bit but I'm back.

2. Toronto Blue Jays, Brett Lawrie

First of all, have you ever met a Brett that wasn't hot? Thought so. Toronto infielder Brett Lawrie pulls off those arm tattoos like nobody's business (and his left sleeve is dedicated to his sister...come on man you're killing us!!!)

As Lawrie says himself, he's got that Canadian grind in him. You can feel the fire and passion he exudes when he is on the field.

3. New York Yankees, Jacoby Ellsbury

I love seeing this face in the outfield, especially as a Yankee! Put on pinstripes and you're instantly more of a stud.

Shoutout to mi cubano, Tigers left fielder J.D. Martinez. There is a very good chance we will be seeing a lot of him in the postseason. Let's hope for our sake this is true.

7. Cleveland Indians, Jason Kipnis

"Alright, I'm ready to move to Cleveland..." said no one ever. BUT WAIT...take a look at the fine batch of men the Indians attract and you may possibly reconsider. From the goofiness of Nick Swisher to the sexiness of Mike Aviles, the Indians know how to pick 'em (for our eyes at least).

Cleveland second baseman Jason Kipnis is no exception. Seriously, I just want to hug him. And other things.

We thank Venezuela for White Sox infielder Carlos Sanchez. Hopefully he proves to be more than just a lil' cutie.

9. Minnesota Twins, Joe Mauer

A twin with twins...ha! Nothing is sexier than a family man. Minnesota first baseman Joe Mauer has his hands full with two beautiful twin girls. Yet he still manages to be sexy as hell on the field.

10. Los Angeles Angels, Collin Cowgill

Throwing everyone a curveball here (ha…baseball puns). Who would’ve thought about Angels left fielder Collin Cowgill??

Besides the fact that Collin is one sexy ass name, Cowgill is a stud. A good ol' southern boy. The Angels have a chance to go far this postseason...thank goodness for our eyes. (Mike Trout and Josh Hamilton were the runner ups, of course.)

11. Oakland Athletics, Sam Fuld

A's left fielder Sam Fuld is impossible to look at and not swoon. This 2 time All-American left quite a legacy at Stanford, holding the all-time College World Series record with 24 hits.

12. Seattle Mariners, Robinson Cano

People often say the Yanks need to share the wealth. So how about that? They shared the sexy.

13. Houston Astros, Dexter Fowler

Can you feel that? That is swag right there. Houston has got themselves one fine center fielder.

Ladies, he led the league in triples in 2010. In other words, he gets to third base a lot...

If you haven't seen his dance moves, you are really not doing life right. Texas shortstop Elvis Andrus is one cool dude. Sorry Venezuela, we have him now.

Ahh...the future is bright for this young kid. There's just something so attractive about a guy putting in 110% into every single thing he does. Even if that means he runs into walls sometimes.

Fun fact: there are two of them...Justin Upton and his big bro BJ Upton are both outfielders for the Braves. Lucky ATL.

A California native, Rockies outfielder Brandon Barnes is one sexy player. Colorado is lucky to have him.
