These Bin Pics Are A Timely Reminder To Pick Up After Yourself And Your Picnic

You wouldn't steal a car; you also wouldn't leave rubbish strewn about your living room.

After months and months and months of being cooped up indoors, starved of social contact and deprived of enjoying all the glorious open spaces Sydney has to offer — I get that picnicking with other people is a jolt to the system.

But the shock of it all is no excuse to desecrate the parks in your 5km radius with litter.

In other words: Pick your bloody rubbish up, Sydney.

And sure, there might be limited bins in whichever park you're in.

I implore you to, please, find another bin! Take your trash with you!

But for the love of god, don't just dump it on the ground next to the bin. A light breeze and your trash will disperse itself rapidly and freely.

So the next time you meet up with some mates for a bevvie and a snack in the park, do us all a favour and picnic responsibly by actually throwing out your rubbish. That way, we can all enjoy the absolute beauty of our Sydney parks and avoid scenes like these.
