If you were born before the year 2000, you definitely remember these bad boys — VHS tapes.
You also remember driving (possibly with your parents) to the nearest Blockbuster store on a Friday night to rent the new movie that just came out, praying that there were still some left.
But you may have forgotten, or maybe never even knew about, a mega Hollywood award show that once was.
An award show that, quite frankly, isn't talked about nearly enough.
I present to you...the Blockbuster Entertainment Awards.
In case you didn't know (I didn't because I was like 10 years old at the time), the Blockbuster Entertainment Awards existed from 1995 to 2001 and were filled with moments too good to be ignored.
Yep, the company that blessed all of our homes with VHS tapes for years had it's very own star-studded red carpet event.
The fashion was top-notch.
The gowns looked like curtains.
And suits were very large.
I mean, can you even?
That hair!
These outfits!
Those CAPRIS!
In my opinion, this was the award show of the century.
One that I literally never even knew about.
IT CANNOT BE BEAT.
Symmetrical barettes!
Strands of pearls!
And so many hip shades!
People brought their A-game...
...their money...
...AND their looks.
I'm definitely going to need both of these outfits to make a comeback immediately.
I meannnn...TELL ME this isn't fashion.
ABSOLUTE ROYALTY.
RIP Blockbuster Entertainment Awards. You will NEVER be replaced.
