The Queen told the media yesterday that the baby had better hurry up as she is going on holidays this weekend.
Canada has finally decided how they are going to honor the birth of Kate Middleton and Prince William's first child. In Toronto, the famous CN Tower will be lit up to welcome the newborn on the evening that he or she arrives.The building will be decorated with either a solid pink or blue light for up to eight minutes. Niagara Falls will be getting a similar pink or blue hue, according to Hello! Canada. I would assume the Canadian Falls are the ones being lit up. If you Yanks want to join in, please feel free.

Myself, I am offering a private birthing pool in my back garden, as I heard the Duchess of Cambridge is giving birth naturally. A fit and healthy young woman to give birth naturally? Hold the front page! Statistics quoted on LBC 97.3 (a London talk radio station) suggest that children of helicopter pilots tend to be girls. Apparently, it's got something to do with G-forces--or something like that. I am also wondering if this baby's last name will be Middleton? Just asking, because Kate the Duchess of Cambridge is always referred to by her maiden name.
Spanish artist Kaya Mar dropped off his tribute to the expectant mother at St. Mary's Hospital's Lindo Wing on Friday -- the official campground of the Royal Baby Watchers. His painting features an incredible likeness of Kate and her famously slender leg (at least, we think that's what it is) protruding from under her casual Friday attire. Kate feeds her already crowned newborn as a corgi sits nearby. Is there hidden meaning in the red sock and artistically-challenged foot?

If this painting is not available on velvet then I think Mar has done the Duchess a great disservice. Put that picture on velvet and you can easily sell it out of the back of a Chevy van at any fairgrounds.
Honestly, don't you think the royals are smarter than this? Kate probably had the baby last week and just hasn't announced it yet. William and Kate's baby will be loved by the masses and Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's child "North West" shall be no competition, simply a direction on a map.
