    Courage = Success

    For many people out there, especially the ones within the ARTS field, it is nerve-wrecking to put yourself out there. I say this for particularly Performing arts people, because in this field it is not about your diplomas and documents, it is about your skill. What do you bring to the table that no one else does? What makes you, you?

    Courage = Success (An open letter)

    For many people out there, especially the ones within the ARTS field, it is nerve-wrecking to put yourself out there. I say this for particularly Performing arts people, because in this field it is not about your diplomas and documents, it is about your skill. What do you bring to the table that no one else does? What makes you, you?

    I personally have a difficult time doing this, because putting yourself out there is a constant internal battle with yourself. "What if I'm not good enough?" I've had to learn time and time again (and am still learning) that you ARE good enough. If it is something you love, you will be good enough. Now, this does not go into the fact that some people have natural talent that don't work at it. No matter how naturally gifted you are, there needs to be work put into it. The phrase 'Practice makes perfect' is probably one of the best pieces of advice out there; just because you're naturally gifted at something, there is always someone working two times harder than you.

    So, I will leave you with this. Never second guess yourself- you know what is your best content! Always learn from the criticism of others- all criticism can be constructive, depending on how you take it. Stay humble but confident- never think you're the best you can be (there is always room for improvement), but know your worth!

    I wish you all luck on your life adventures!

    Love,

    Tati
