Why You Should Be Watching Younger

The new series gives TV Land a bit of a refresh and Hilary Duff is in it, so basically it's amazing.

Younger is centered around a 40-something Liza trying to make it back into the working world while going through a divorce from her gambling husband. Liza realizes that her age is a disadvantage, so she with the help of her friend Maggie makeover Liza as a 26-year-old.

So why should you watch it? Well, first, Hilary Duff's in it.

Duff plays Liza's new work friend Kelsey. Kelsey pretty much shows the ropes to Liza about what being a 20-something means in today's world. From pubic grooming to drunken nights out together, the two become fast friends, and it's hilarious watching their adventures and mishaps.

There's also this really attractive guy.

His name's Josh (Nico Tortorella), he's a tattoo artist (yum), and he gives some great eye candy for the show. Liza meets him at a bar, and they quickly begin a fun and casual relationship.

The writing is witty, and the production behind it is great.

Even with all it's funny lines and silly scenarios, you still feel sympathetic towards Liza and her struggles of being a single-mother and living two lives as a 40-year-old and also a 26-year-old. And if you like Sex and the City, then you have to watch because Darren Star (writer for Sex and the City) is also the writer for this series.

It's goofy and sentimental all at the same time.
