There's truly nothing more satisfying than finishing a truly incredible first season of a show and being like, "Wow, I absolutely wouldn't change a thing."
Like, the main story arc gets wrapped up nicely, the characters are ready to move on with their lives, and there's just a tiiiiny bit of ambiguity.
But then the show gets renewed for another season and it's like "....what?????" Because WHY ruin perfection???? If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
Maybe, you watched Squid Game and were blown away by the nuance of the plot and felt like the Season 1 finale wrapped up everything perfectly, but then were genuinely shocked to find out there's a whole NEW season coming out this year, too.
Or perhaps you were a big fan of the book Big Little Lies, and felt like the HBO adaptation was pretty damn near perfect. But weren't sold on the second season, since, well, it's already just a standalone book.
Or maybe you are a big Euphoria fan, but wish that it stayed a one-season show because no one could ever replicate the beauty that was Season 1.
