The NHS Choir Beat Justin Bieber To Christmas No.1

    The NHS Christmas Choir has beaten Justin Bieber To Christmas No.1 with their charity single A Bridge Over You.

    The song came in ahead of Adele's Hello at number four, Justin Bieber's Sorry at number three and Justin Bieber's Love Yourself at number two.

    "This is just incredible for everyone who works in the NHS," Dr Katie Rogerson, who organised the single's campaign, told Radio 1 when the final chart position was announced.

    She added that everyone who is working in the NHS today was "doing a great job".

    The track shot to the lead for Christmas No.1 on Wednesday after Justin Bieber urged fans to "do the right thing" and buy the NHS Choir's single rather than his.

    Bridge Over You took the Christmas top spot with combined chart sales of 127,000, a staggering 31,000 ahead of Bieber according to Official Charts.
