Moms always have life's essentials in their purse at all times. Where else would we find that oops-I-just-got-my-period pad or hair ties or Advil in the middle of the mall on a Saturday morning? Mom, you have it all on you and the best part is you don't mind sharing. In fact, you're happy to give it. Thanks, mom.
9. She buys you your favorite ice cream.
Not only do moms make the shopping list, cut the coupons, buy the groceries, and cook the food, but they still manage to pick up all of the things we like. Thank you mom for taking the time to feed me and thank you for caring to get my fave things.
8. She risks her life for you.
Ahh, my favorite backseat driver, mom. Thank you for getting in the car with me when I was a new driver and even after I broke my accident free streak. I love you so much. Thank you for doing that for me.
7. She asks a million questions.
Like the typical teen I am, I hate the questions. But I really should thank you for asking them. You care enough to keep me out of trouble and keep me safe. Thank you for always checking up on me. Ily.
6. She always guides you back to God.
Mom, my role model, my Proverbs 31 woman, thank you for teaching me to respect God and pray to Him. In times of any trouble or angst, you are the first to remind me to give it to God. "A garment of praise", you text me as a reminder to praise God to receive joy for my heaviness. Thank you.
5. She teaches you to love yourself.
Mom, you teach me to love my body, my brains, my beauty. You teach me to place a value on myself, one that is priceless. You remind me to identify myself as a child of God. You show me how I should present myself like a respectable lady. These are lessons I hold closely.
4. She's always on your team.
Even when it doesn't feel like it, your best interests are always your motive. You are my biggest fan, my therapist, my fashion consultant, my go to. Thanks for being the best captain and MVP and leading me to victory.
3. She's always honest.
Thank you for always being honest and never afraid to speak your mind. I trust you so much because of this. I never have to worry about hearing the truth. You give the best advice, from the little stuff to the big deals.
2. She's always there for you.
Through text, calls, FaceTime, screaming her name, you always respond. Thank you for never missing a part of my life, the good and the bad. Thank you for making so many precious memories with me. Thank you for guiding me through the tears and laughing with me through the joy.
