    Manners are essential. You'll need them from climbing the corporate ladder to getting a discount on your cell phone bill.

    Basic cooking skills. You should know how to boil water, read a recipe and the difference between a tablespoon and a teaspoon. Your survival depends on it!! (Even Ramen has instructions)

    How to change a tire. If you drive or not, you will be in situation that calls for tire changing know how. When this day comes, nothing will be convenient, your phone will be dead and plan to get your favorite article of clothing dirty.

    How to read a map. GPS is great, but do you remember that time it told you to make a left turn and that left was a lake? Or the time your car charger died? Yeah... That's why this is important. (You should own a map too!)

    How to do basic math without a calculator. This is one skill they teach in school that you will need until you die.

    People outside of your family are different and more than likely, your family is crazy and dysfunctional. Deal with it. All family have crazies and secrets. You're not alone.
