Jennifer Lawrence Revealed Whether She'd Ever Play Katniss In "The Hunger Games" Again, And It Was Pretty Surprising

Jennifer's been honest in recent years about the turn her career took post-Hunger Games, but that doesn't mean she wouldn't return to the franchise.

This post contains discussion of body image issues.

Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games franchise: that's history right there.

Jennifer portrayed the iconic character across a whopping four films between 2012 and 2015 — but she won't be returning in the upcoming prequel, The Hunger Games: the Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, for obvious reasons (Katniss doesn't appear in it).

But! Don't take that to mean that Jennifer's days with the franchise are firmly in the past — it sounds like quite the opposite, in fact.

In an interview with Variety, Jennifer was asked if she would ever return to the franchise to portray Katniss again — and her answer was firmly and undeniably positive.

“Oh, my God – totally!” she exclaimed. “If Katniss ever could ever come back into my life, 100 percent.”

“My producing partner just clutched her heart," she added.

Jennifer's comments are fairly surprising, considering that she said last fall that she "lost control" of her career after starring in the Hunger Games films.

A few months later, she also revealed that the producers of the Hunger Games films had pressured her to lose weight.
