Last June — yes, a whole-ass year ago — we found out that Elizabeth Olsen got married to her partner, Robbie Arnett.
The couple appeared on a recent episode of The Jess Cagle Show to promote their children's book, Hattie Harmony: Worry Detective, where they finally spilled on the deal with their wedding and, y'know, the whole getting married thing.
As it turns out, they actually got married before the pandemic even began. So, yeah, do the math — we found out last year, but they got married, like, at least a year before that, if not more.
“We never really talked much about our marriage,” she said, specifying that they eloped and then had a separate wedding, but that both happened before the beginning of the pandemic.
"I just never talked about it,” she explained while talking about how no one previously knew the specifics regarding their relationship.
As Elizabeth tells it, getting married before COVID worked out for her and Robbie perfectly when it came to being able to spend time together.
“I had to work in England and there are visa issues with that,” she explained. “He wouldn’t have been able to come at all, actually. And also everything was so backed up."
"You couldn’t even, like, try to get married then. But it ended up working out."
