Chris Pratt Revealed What He Really Thought About The Controversy Around His "Healthy Daughter" Message To Katherine Schwarzenegger

"My son's gonna read that one day."

Remember the whole uproar around Chris Pratt's Instagram message to Katherine Schwarzenegger and their newborn daughter?

OK, brief recap time. In November of last year, Chris made an IG post in tribute to his wife, Katherine. At one point, he praised her for giving him "a gorgeous, healthy daughter."

Some interpreted that specific quote as a reference to his son, Jack, who he shares with ex-wife Anna Faris. Jack was born premature and suffered a cerebral hemorrhage that resulted in muscle and vision issues.

The backlash came hard and fast. At one point, Chris posted another IG saying that the criticism made him feel "upset and depressed."

In a new interview with Men's Health, the actor finally revealed how it felt to navigate the controversy.

"I said something like, ‘Find someone who looks at you the way my wife looks at me,'" he recalled about the initial post. "And then I gave her some shit in the thing and said, ‘But I love you. I'm so thankful for my wife — she gave me a beautiful, healthy daughter.'"

"And then a bunch of articles came out and said, ‘That's so cringeworthy. I can't believe Chris Pratt would thank her for a healthy daughter when his first child was born premature. That's such a dig at his ex-wife.'"

"And I'm like, 'That is fucked up,'" Chris continued. "My son's gonna read that one day. He's 9. And it's etched in digital stone."

Chris added that he cried about the fallout from the post and that "it really fucking bothered me, dude."

"I was like, I hate that these blessings in my life are — to the people close to me — a real burden."
