Chris Noth, the actor most well known for his role as Mr. Big in Sex and the City, has been accused of sexual assault.
The Hollywood Reporter reports that two women have come forward with sexual assault allegations dating back to 2004 and 2015.
Both women told the publication that Noth's appearance in the SATC revival series And Just Like That... "stirred painful memories" of the alleged assaults.
One of the women says that Noth raped her in his Los Angeles apartment in 2004 while she was working for a firm that the actor did business with.
The second accuser, who goes by Lily, says she met the actor at a NYC nightclub in 2015 and was assaulted by him in his apartment in the city.
In response, Peloton has removed their recent ad featuring Noth, which referenced the premiere of And Just Like That..., from their social media accounts.
In a statement to THR, Noth said “The accusations against me made by individuals I met years, even decades, ago are categorically false. These stories could’ve been from 30 years ago or 30 days ago — no always means no — that is a line I did not cross."
"The encounters were consensual. It’s difficult not to question the timing of these stories coming out. I don’t know for certain why they are surfacing now, but I do know this: I did not assault these women.”
