What Is Living With Endometriosis Really Like? Share Pictures With Us
March is Endometriosis Awareness Month. Over 176 million people live with this disease worldwide.
Hello, world! Lara here and I have endometriosis. It sucks and is the most painful thing I've ever experienced in my 27 years of life. But if you were to just look at me, you would have no idea what the endometriosis pain I experience on a daily basis is actually like.
So in honor of Endometriosis Awareness Month (coming in MARCH!!), and because our voices deserve to be heard, I wanted to collect pictures from anyone who lives with endometriosis that show what this disease is really like.
Whether you share a photo of you with your heating pad...
...a photo of you with your infamous "endo bloat"...
...or pictures before or after medical procedures you've had to go through.
Whatever you choose to share — this is your time. Over 176 million people live with this worldwide, yet there are little to no accessible or viable treatment options. So let's show people what it's really like.
Use the DropBox below to share pictures of your life with endometriosis along with a few words explaining what exactly the picture represents.
Some of the responses will be featured in a future BuzzFeed Community post or video!
