Where in the World is Frank Ocean?
We've been thinkin bout him.
Finding Waldo has proven to be less of a challenge than finding Frank.
On December 12th, Ocean's little brother, Ryan Breaux, posted a photo of the pair to Twitter, assuring us all that Frank is indeed alive and well.
Last week it was rumored that Ocean would be dropping a brand new single entitled "White Ferrari" on December 11th. Friday came and went, but there was no such single to be found.
So.Many.(Nature)Feels.
Just a few days ago, fans went wild when the aptly named "frank o0000oocean", a compilation of Hudson Mohawke demos allegedly containing beats and instrumentals for Frank's new music, hit the web.
So excitement. Much emotional.
Since as early as February 2013, Ocean confirmed he was working on a follow up to his critically acclaimed debut, Channel Orange. But after almost three years of countless false alarms, nothing has seemed to materialize—until now.
Joy to the World
It's safe to say that Christmas has come early. Frank will be beating Rihanna and Kanye West to the punch. Official details on his highly anticipated sophomore album have yet to be released, but the LP is expected to drop this Friday, December 18th. Beyond that, a snippet of what is believed to be the debut single off his yet to be titled studio album was leaked online barely an hour ago.
From listening to the 27 second sound bite, it's no "Novacane", but it's sure to numb the pain of the wait.
Check out Frank's alleged new tune here. Let us know what you think of it in the comments.
