If there is one thing you do in your entire time in Slovenia, it should be visiting the island in Lake Bled, pictured here. With any additional time, leisurely stroll through  Ljubljana's charming Old Town or hike in the Julian Alps. Who knows, you may even spot brown bears, Eurasian lynxes, wolves, eagles, or Slovenia's national animal, the Lipizzaner horse!

If there is one thing you should do with your time in Greece, it's visit the Acropolis in Athens. With any additional time, take cheap ferries to some of the world's most picturesque and iconic islands. Along the way, keep your eyes out for dolphins, Greece's national animal. To see even more sea life, such as sea turtles and rays, consider a snorkeling tour!

Explore Morocco's labyrinthine city streets, filled with colorful markets, aromatic spices, and traditional goods that make for perfect souvenirs. Real adventurers cannot miss the opportunity to venture into the Sahara desert. Keep your eyes peeled for fennec foxes, desert hedgehogs, and various reptiles. If you want to see a Barbary lion (Morocco's national animal), you'll have to do so in a conservation areas, as they are sadly extinct in the wild.

Hop on a boat and immerse yourself in the stunning natural beauty of Norway's fjords or go hiking in the rugged mountains of Jotunheimen National Park. Warm up in city museums and then head out to seek the Northern Lights. While in Norway, keep your eyes peeled for seals, whales, seabirds, reindeer, Arctic foxes, and Moose, the national animal!

After enjoying the vibrant hustle and bustle of Tokyo, immerse yourself in the tranquility of Kyoto's ancient streets. Visit serene gardens, participate in tea ceremonies, and relax in natural hot springs. If you head to the natural hot springs in Jigokudani Monkey Park, you'll get to see snow monkeys! While in Japan, also try to catch a glimpse of a green pheasant, the country's national animal.

Botswana is an animal lover's paradise. Head out on a safari in the iconic Okavango Delta where you can see hippos, lions, leopards, giraffes, and, of course, elephants; Botswana has the largest population of elephants in all of Africa. Don't worry, you'll surely see zebras too, the country's national animal!

If there is one thing you should do while visiting Peru, it's exploring the ruins of Machu Picchu. After heading down from the mountains, grab some ceviche in either Lima and Cusco, both known to be vibrant cities. Extreme adventurers can journey into the heart of the Amazon Rainforest. The biodiversity is amazing, so keep your eyes out for macaws, jaguars, spectacled bears, Andean condors, river dolphins, monkeys, and, of course, vicuñas — small llamas that are the country's national animal!

While you could spend a whole trip just in Dublin, head out of the city to explore Irelands ancient castles, picturesque villages, and historic sites like the Rock of Cashel and the Cliffs of Moher. A relatively small island, Ireland isn't known for having a variety of large animals, but it is a birdwatchers paradise, with puffins, gannets, and other seabirds. Lower your eyes to the grasses to try to spot an Irish hare, the country's national animal!
