1. Old Trafford

Manchester United's stadium Old Trafford, nicknamed the Theatre of Dreams is truly spectacular. It has been Man Utd's home since 1910, and was refurbished after being damaged from the second world war. It has a capacity of 75,635 and is the second largest in the UK, ninth in Europe. It is rated an Elite 5 star stadium by UEFA.

2. Sir Matt Busby

Sir Matt Busby managed Manchester United from 1945 to 1969 and again briefly in 1971. He began transforming Manchester United into the huge club it is today. He believed in developing young players and building teams along with a few key signings, creating the hugely exciting and successful 'Busby Babes'. He won 1 European cup, 5 League Titles, and 2 FA Cups with Man Utd.

3. Munich Air Disaster

One of the most tragic moments in footballing history. On the 6 February 1958 after a European cup game against Red Star Belgrade, a plane carrying the Busby Babes crashed and killed 8 players plus staff, journalists, and crew, and injuring many more including Sir Matt Busby. The tragedy is remembered every year by the club, and there is a memorial plaque at the stadium.

Sir Matt Busby after recovering from the disaster, rebuilt the team and went on to win the European cup 10 years later, a competition he was so determined to win.

4. The Holy Trinity

Three of Man Utd's greatest ever players, Dennis Law, Bobby Charlton, and George Best created the 'Holy Trinity'. Each of them won the Ballon D'or, the ultimate individual prize for a footballer awarded to the world's best player. These three were key to the success of Sir Matt Busby and winning the European cup and League titles. There is a statue of the 'Holy Trinity' outside Old Trafford.

5. The Rivalries

Manager of Manchester United for over 26 years, and bringing the club back to the success of the Sir Matt Busby days. Described as many players as a father figure, he helped push players to their very best, creating teams after teams that would win many trophies, and playing entertaining attacking football. The Scot is one of the most successful managers of all time, and to keep a club at the top of the game for so long, winning as much as he did is truly remarkable. He, like Matt Busby, also believed in giving young players a chance from the academy and with them went on to win 13 Premier League titles, 2 European Cups, 5 FA Cups, 4 League Cups and 1 European Cup Winners' Cup. The club named a whole stand after him and built a statue at Old Trafford.

8. Class of '92

Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Gary Neville, Phil Neville, David Beckham, Nicky Butt were part of a group of young players that Sir Alex put faith in to play for the first team. Many critics at this time were saying the club wouldn't win anything by playing kids, they were proved wrong as these players were key in the club dominating English football for the next 10 years. All the players went on to have hugely successful careers in football. Ryan Giggs went on to win the most honours and became Manchester United's record appearance maker. Paul Scholes became one of the world's best passers and strikers of a football, gaining huge admiration from some of the world's best players. Gary Neville is still considered as the best ever right back to grace the Premier League. And David Beckham was one of the best curlers of a ball and free kick specialist, becoming arguably the most famous footballer of all time.

It was in Barcelona and Manchester United were a couple minutes away from losing to Bayern Munich in the Champions League final. But going into injury time Manchester United equalised through Teddy Sheringham from a Beckham corner. Then shortly after another corner went into Sheringham, and Solskjaer has won it!
