On the Feb. 6 of Jane the Virgin, Jane's husband, Michael Cordero, met his devastating and unexpected end.
And even though his character will no longer be on the show, that doesn't mean Michael won't remain in our hearts forever.
1. From the moment we were introduced to Michael, Jane the Virgin fans knew this guy was something special.
2. Even when they were broken up, Michael never stopped caring about Jane.
3. And he never, ever gave up on their relationship.
4. He was always there to brighten up her day.
5. I mean, he stopped at nothing to put a smile on Jane's face.
6. And he was incredibly supportive of everything she did.
7. He cared so deeply about Mateo, too.
8. And he was proud to be a part of his life.
9. Their bond was super cute and touching, to say the least.
10. He was also incredibly good at his job.
11. And he made the best pop culture references.
12. He wasn't afraid to stand up for himself or for the people he cared about.
13. Plus, he had the cutest relationship with Rogelio.
14. Their BFF handshake was truly unmatched.
15. When he and Jane got back together ~for good~, it was so magical that snow even fell when they kissed.
16. He was always so thoughtful and knew exactly how to make Jane happy.
17. Including when he asked her to marry him...again!
18. He was such a good sport when Rogelio wanted to throw him a bachelor party.
19. And he was super adorable when he actually married Jane, the love of his life.
20. ESPECIALLY when he surprised her by reciting his vows in Spanish.
21. And when he danced the night away, showing off his impressive skills.

23. And he made sure the build-up to having sex for the first time was worth Jane's while.
24. Michael even made peace with Rafael and the two of them bonded, in his own dorky way.
25. And even though it was for just a short time, Michael brought an unbelievable amount of joy into Jane's life, and to us all.
