People Are Feeling Really Dumb After Realizing Their Ceiling Fans Have Had Hot And Cold Switches After All These Years

WHAT A DISCOVERY!

TikTok user Anthony Bertoncin recently shared a video explaining how he discovered that fans have switches for the winter and the summer:

One. Little. Switch. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ #foryou #riseandshine #layerup #tellmeajoke

And judging by the amount of people who used his audio and shared this video, I'd say a LOT of people did not know this either.

Basically, some fans have a little switch located right above the blades to give off either cool or hot air.

So let's discuss. Ceiling fans spin counterclockwise to push cool air downward. But, some fans have a switch that spins the blades in the opposite direction to pull air upward and push the warm air that naturally rises back down.

In short, your fan should spin counterclockwise if you want cool air and clockwise if you want warm air. You're welcome!
