Well, shitballs, have I got a story for you.
Reddit user designerturtle recently shared an all-too-familiar situation moms regularly face: running late, frantically packing everything, getting the baby ready to head out the door when...your kid takes a massive dump. But, her story took a dark — or should I say smelly — turn while changing the diaper. Check out the story:
Yeah, that really happened.
But if you're a parent, eating poo isn't so rare. Just ask user isawakoala who shared their shitty story: "I've accidentally ate baby poop too. It tasted like clay. Somehow, a little nugget escaped my son's diaper and ended up on my plate of eggs and sausage. It looked like a fucking piece of sausage! Into my mouth it goes. Something is wrong. It dawns on me. I spit it out and brush my teeth a hundred times."
And user PermanentDaylight had no shame in asking their burning question: "Ok, juvenile as it is, I have to ask. Does it taste like it smells?"
designerturtle's response? "It tastes exactly like it smells, except surprisingly sweet, too."
Her response clearly disturbed some users, who were saying things like, "SWEET?!?! SHIT is SWEET?!?! 😷😷😷" (I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say user ToxicFox27 isn't a parent.)
After her flavor description of the doo-doo, other parents began explaining what their kid's crap smelled like. Apparently, breastfed baby poo smells like buttery popcorn. Who knew.
"I always thought breast milk poop smelled like stale, buttered popcorn. Did not confirm with taste test though." —OrganizedSprinkles
"I also thought my breastfed baby's poop smelled like buttery popcorn." —rearended
"Yes!!! Everyone thinks I’m crazy when I say this, but it definitely does!!!!!" —_but_is_it_art
"I can’t believe someone else said it. I’ve been saying this forever. Breastfed baby poop smells just like popcorn." —alk1234
Anyone else craving popcorn right now?!
Then, there was no holding back. A shitstorm of parents started chiming in, sharing what their kid's feces smelled like.
"My son's was a mix of buttered popcorn and parmesan cheese. It honestly didn't smell bad at all. But my daughter releases the hounds of hell with every poop and has had garbage butt since day one." —jhonotan1
"I thought my oldest smelled like mild cheddar cheese. Couldn't eat that sliced for a while." —mimizeen
"My sister changed my 7-month-old's diaper and said it smelled like bad sour cream. I can't un-smell it now." —methespy
"I get made fun of for describing my son's breastmilk poops as a 'tangy peanut butter' smell." —DenimWizard
