"My Ex Thought Women Bled ONE SINGULAR Drop Of Blood And That Was Their Period" — As If You Needed More Reasons For Why Men Shouldn't Be Allowed To Make Decisions About Women's Bodies, Here Are 17 More

This is one of the many reasons why men have no business making laws about women's bodies.

In light of the leaked draft that could overturn Roe v. Wade, Twitter user @Sabrinafon decided to send an important reminder. She caught the attention of nearly 200,000 people after sharing this lil' memory of an ex-boyfriend:

I tweet this every time men decide it's time to make decisions about women's bodies, but my ex boyfriend thought all women got their period on the 15th of the month. He was 26 at the time.

She later revealed that her ex thought this because comedians say things like, "My girlfriend is so sweet, except on the 15th of the month…," and he took it literally. 🤦‍♀️

And, not surprisingly, other women chimed in with their own memories proving how most men know absolutely nothing about women's bodies:

@Sabrinafon A friend’s fiancé thought tampon size was based on🐱size, so he was upset she asked for supers…he thought it meant the more partners you’ve had=bigger tampon required. This is a must read thread, men y’all need clarification stat😂

No matter how much life men live, most will still never properly educate themselves on the female body:

@Sabrinafon My dad is 61 and thought every girl started their period in fifth grade (like guaranteed clockwork)… this discussion happened two weeks ago.. men don’t need to be making decisions about shit

Even men who studied anatomy and work in the medical field are clueless:

@Sabrinafon I had an ex that told me women shouldn’t complain about their periods because they are clearly getting pleasure from their tampons. He was pre-med.

AGAIN, MEN KNOW NOTHING ABOUT WOMEN'S BODIES:

@Sabrinafon My ex boyfriend thought women bleed ONE SINGULAR drop of blood and that was your period, and that women use pads and tampons during the week because they don’t want their one drop of blood getting on their clothes because they don’t know when during the week it’s coming 🥲

Many men claiming to be feminists won't even bother to understand how women's bodies work:

    @Sabrinafon omg twins https://t.co/OfoKOxhW7f

You can literally make up any lie, and most men will take it as the truth (likely forever):

I once got another boyfriend to believe that birth control doesn't work if you have sex twice in one day because the pill can only hold back so much cum. He was 32.

    Twitter: @Sabrinafon

And they pretty much make up random explainers as to why things happen in their head:

    Twitter: @violetlehappy

    THERE ARE NO WORDS:

@Sabrinafon One of my exes came to me slightly bewilder with the question, how do women go swimming without their uterus filling up with water? He really thought we filled up like a water balloon

    Twitter: @CPRAlisonalison

The lack of sexual education men get when it comes to women's bodies is astounding:

@Sabrinafon When my ex took my viginty he said he didn’t think I was a virgin because he throught he had to make the vaginal opening himself. He was 24.

Maybe that's because some male teachers don't even understand what they're teaching:

@Sabrinafon When I was doing a high school teaching internship, students got up to leave at the end of the class. My supervising teacher, a man in his late twenties, noticed one of the chairs and cried out, “Oh, my god, Brianna, you’re bleeding! Are you okay?”

Too many men don't understand how pregnancy works:

@Sabrinafon My ex-husband - while I was pregnant with his child - believed the baby was in my literal stomach, and when I ate food, it fell on top of the baby

    Twitter: @kassyeconomou

They won't even bother with a quick Google search that could at least take their thought process in the right direction:

@PeteyRL2 @Sabrinafon I heard a story about a husband who thought the fetus breathed through the pregnant mom's belly button. He walked in on his wife soaking in a deep bath, and was genuinely horrified that she had drowned their unborn child.

    It's so sad, it's laughable:

@KellyAnneRodak @Sabrinafon @xavierck3d It's killing me the number of men being discussed in this thread that respond to being told they're wrong by SCREAMING. What the hell?

Dear men, women can get pregnant if they don't orgasm:

@Sabrinafon I heard a guy say he didn't know ovulation did not occur everyday. He literally thought women can get pregnant everyday of the month. Also that a woman can't get pregnant if she does not orgasm. He was 43.

Tampon education is clearly lacking in every way:

@Sabrinafon two men at my last job thought we put tampons on like a lil hot dog n between our 🐱 lips

    Twitter: @mybellnoelle

CLEARLY, there's so much that even some of the smartest men in the world need to learn:

@Sabrinafon NASA sent Sally Ride 100 tampons for the 2 weeks she would be in space

Sigh...women don't need this much proof, but it keeps getting handed to us. If you want to show your support for women's healthcare through a donation, you can do so here.

I don't have anything to promote but since many in my mentions seem to care about women's healthcare, you might consider donating to Sharsheret. https://t.co/wYmDyOJRQo
