The Most Popular Career Paths: 1970-Now Infographic

Hundreds of thousands of college students apparently are learning what seems to be an important lesson: the value of a bachelor’s degree. In 2009 alone, 1.6 million bachelor’s degrees were passed out to college graduates —nearly double the number conferred in 1970, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Those numbers have been significantly boosted by the increasing number of universities offering students the option of earning an online degree.
