Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. During October, the weather starts to get cooler, the nights get crisp, the leaves fall and leave crunchy piles to jump into all afternoon, and the end of the month brings a holiday where candy is the main event.
I mean, I guess "spooky" things could also be considered the main event, but let's be honest: candy beats creepy every time.
Unless you feel like combining your loves of sweet and spooky into one wonderful dessert, in which case I have the perfect Halloween treat for you! Mummy Brownie Bites are the perfect simple, spooky, Halloween dessert that are just as much fun to make as they are to eat.
Growing up, I always loved doing Halloween crafts with my mom, so I decided to combine my love of crafts and my love for brownies into one glorious dessert. This is just a simple, rich, fudgey brownie, made with BAKER'S Chocolate, decorated with a rich, creamy, cream cheese frosting made with PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese.
I baked the brownies in a cupcake pan to make sure they were round enough for my "mummy" heads. Then, as I was rummaging through my fridge to find my cream cheese, I stumbled upon a nearly empty container of KRAFT Mayo.
As soon as I laid eyes upon it, it hit me: the squeezable KRAFT Mayo jars have the perfect top to make mummy bandages! I'm serious: all you need to do is thoroughly clean out your mayo jar (I mean really thoroughly, mine had chipotle mayo in it and you do NOT want that flavor all up in your cream cheese frosting!) then spoon your frosting in, screw on the cap, and voila!

This is a super fun project to do with your friends or children one afternoon; everyone will have a good laugh when one mummy comes out with a few too many bandages or too few. They also make a wonderful bake sale treat!
