5 Reasons Why You Engage In Toxic Friendships

And no it's not your luck. Daddy issues sort of included

1.You believe sacrifice is the only key

It is not. A Relationship should never make you feel disadvantaged. Not receiving gratitude isn't the reason why you feel disappointed sometime after helping someone out. You regret helping someone because you skipped something you love in order to be loved . Don't be that person. Relationship is simply put, your personal business. There should be mutual respect and both parties should sense a positive growth.

    2.You get too comfortable
I like my friends even though they aren't philosophical.

I hate my friends even though they can be be very funny.

If you feel like you deserve better, chances are you don't look for opportunities to diversify your circle. Sometimes we tend to stay in the comfort zone of our own race or class that we forget to open our eyes to potential friendships. Get off that couch. Stop biting off that cold pizza. Explore.

    3. You "think" you are an extrovert

If you're not comfortable with who you are, you will tend to lie. You will be liked because of the image you made up. And the most obvious is that person who believes extrovert equals chatterbox. Not only they are frustrated , they are frustrating. They end up distorting Mother Nature's energy instead of absorbing it. Don't be that person and complain how shitty your friends are. Just don't.

    4. You count years, not moments

BUT WE HAVE BEEN FRIENDS FOR SIX YEARS.

And yet you end up faking a smile whenever you meet them. You suspect they aren't happy for the promotion you got last week. Some people just glued their mask forever. It doesn't come off with time. Maybe you need to grow apart, in order to grow. Face to Face talk will help to solve this. Face to Mask works too.

5.You use the traumatic childhood card
Don't you dare bring up your Dad's alcohol or your Mom's third husband as the reason why you can't have high standards or a positive relationship. Settling for less will make you worthless.

Be the person you know you are and positivity will flow, blossoming into healthy friendships.
