**It may seem like you're mean to your kid, but you truly care about them. #KEEPTHEDOOROPEN! Sometimes your kids may get mad at your rules, but someday they'll see you were a great mom. Just remember that on occasion, they need to make their own mistakes to really learn.**

Try not to live vicariously through them, and show them a healthy example of an adult having their own life and interests. Lay back, chill, and give them a little breathing room. Then when they do come to you on their own, it will mean so much more!**

**I know most moms love their children, but you're the type that puts even the smallest accomplishments on the refrigerator. Sometimes, just give them some space and realistic expectations of the world. It's awesome you're so proud of them, but you don't have to CONSTANTLY embarrass them in front of their friends.**
