Ranking The People Olivia Benson From "SVU" Has Dated

SVU's Olivia Benson: great at catching bad guys at work, bad at catching good guys at home.

13. Mike Jergens - Season 7

NBC / Via giphy.com

Status: Jail.

More like Mike Jerk-ens. Played by '90s superhunk Dean Cain, Mike seems perfect, but he's actually a perp. To catch him out, Olivia goes speed-dating under the alias “Rachel” and finds herself sitting across from Mike and his ultra-charming persona (warning sign right there: never trust a charming guy in SVU world). When Liv rejects him he follows her home. Ugh.

12. Erik Webber - Season 12

NBC / Via giphy.com

Status: Jail.

After hounding Olivia for a cup of coffee, she finally agrees, but strictly for professional purposes. Erik is a hacker and has secret information on super creeps that can help Olivia break a case. While the date itself went OK and Olivia got what she came for, it probably wouldn’t have worked out in the long run because turns out Erik was actually a super creep himself. Luckily Olivia puts the pieces together and, on her follow up date, arrests him.

11. Jeffrey York - Season 5

NBC / Via giphy.com

Status: Dead.

There are a couple of reasons this didn’t work out. One being that he was in the closet, the other was that he turned up dead.

10. Pez Dispenser Guy - Season 7

NBC / Via giphy.com

Status: Unknown (probably still collecting Pez dispensers).

Olivia meets Paul, aka Pez Dispenser Guy, while speed-dating undercover. Now, speed-dating is a skill in itself, requiring you to put your best traits forward in 60 seconds or less. And what Paul offers up is the fact he collects Pez dispensers. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but it's not the quickest way to impress ladies. Unfortunately Paul doesn't get a call back.

9. Nick Gazner - Season 1

NBC / Via giphy.com

Status: Probably made redundant.

First of all Nick is a journalist which, in the cop world, means a snoop. Second of all he has a face you just wanna punch. Olivia goes out for drinks with Nick and all seems to go well - so well in fact that Olivia invites him back for more ~drinks~. But when they’re getting hot and heavy on the couch, Nick has to go ruin it by asking for a little role-play, pretending he’s the train rapist they're looking for. Olivia, understandably creeped out, sends him packing, but Nick ups the douchery by stealing information from her files and getting Olivia in the shit with her captain.

7. Babs Duffy - Season 11

NBC / Via giphy.com

Status: Now into guys.

Babs Duffy (Kathy Griffin), head of LesBeFriends, is hot on the heels of the police after lesbians are attacked across Manhattan. It’s no surprise Olivia has a huge lesbian following (especially after reading numerous SVU fan fiction involving Liv and ADA Cabot), but unfortunately for Babs, Olivia doesn’t swing that way. Didn’t stop Babs from trying though. Babs later reveals she’s into guys as well, so Elliot isn’t left out.

Rating: 6/10

6. Andy Eckerson - Season 5

NBC / Via giphy.com

Status: Riding off into the sunset alone.

Andy Eckerson strolled into SVU HQ like he was Richard Gere in An Officer and a Gentleman. But Liv’s never been the type to be picked up and carried; no, she's the one who does the carrying! It's revealed Andy and Liv used to date, and sure there’s a little bit of chemistry as they work a fugitive case together. But when Andy asks her for a drink after it’s solved, Liv flat out says no because she carried him the whole case. Plus he's into the adrenaline rush thing and Olivia already has enough insanity in her life.

5. Elliot Stabler - Season 10

NBC / Via giphy.com

Status: Living with his wife and kids in suburbia.

Oh Elliot! Many fans were so desperate to see this happen due to the chemistry between the two old partners, and lost their shit when this happened. Alas, it was only for an undercover investigation but shiiiit, we can dream can’t we?

Rating: 7/10

4. Kurt Moss - Season 9

NBC / Via giphy.com

Status: Probably in his office listening to Adele singing “we coulda had it all”...

BILL PULLMAN IS A COOL GUY but this came out of nowhere. Suddenly it’s revealed that Kurt Moss, editor at the Ledger, has been dating Olivia for several months and they were even talking about moving in together - when it had never even been hinted at before. And within one episode Olivia, who nearly loses her job, decides she’s just not that into him so “laters”.

Rating: 7/10

3. David Hadan - Season 13

Status: Resigned from ADA office.

David Hadan has the looks, the fast-talking smarts and the good kind of charm (as opposed to the serial killer charm). Damn these two made a good couple. And Olivia was the happiest she’d ever been. She was even calling into work late - that’s how you know it got serious. We had high hopes, but a conflict of interest on a case and failure to declare their relationship to the higher ups meant that they were ticking "it’s complicated" on their relationship status. They decided to end it and pretend it never happened. But we remember Olivia, we remember.

Rating: 8/10

2. Brian Cassidy - Season 1 and 14/15

NBC / Via merelala.com

Status: Working for IAB.

This relationship got a huge fan following, complete with the hashtag #Bensidy. Talk about a long call-back after a one night stand; Brian first appeared in Olivia’s bedroom back in season 1. She ended it right there, stating she doesn’t mix work and pleasure, but fast forward to season 14, and Olivia and Brian are re-united on a hooker case (as you do) and sparks fly again. They even end up buying a house! But ultimately they grew apart, and it was one of those sickening breakups where they leave with love. Whatever, we're still holding out for #Bensidy.

Rating: 9/10

1. Noah - Season 16/17

NBC / Via merelala.com

Status: Adopted.

All bad dates are forgiven because Liv becomes complete when she adopts Noah. And not only that, she manages to balance her home life as a single mother and busy work life, having climbed to the rank of lieutenant. Talk about inspiration! The only man Olivia needs is her son. Finally a happy ending!
