How To Create A Metallic Pressed Flower Phone Case

Learn how to make an eye-catching floral phone case with real pressed flowers. You'll be able to bring Mother Nature with you where ever you go!

1. WHAT YOU'LL NEED

You'll need an assortment of pressed flowers. Etsy is an awesome source for unique, hand pressed flowers!

2. WHAT YOU'LL NEED

You'll also need glossy decoupage, a clear phone case (check Ebay or Amazon), a foam brush and metallic spray paint of your choice.

3. STEP 1) Plan

Determine the general position of the flowers. Remember that whatever you lay down first will be facing the front of your case.

4. STEP 2) Add decoupage

Apply a layer of gloss decoupage in big, even strokes.

5. STEP 3) Add flowers

Carefully add the flowers and/or leaves. Be delicate! This would be a good time to use tweezers, if you have them. Gently, yet firmly, press down on the petals.

6. STEP 4) Add more decoupage

Very carefully add some gloss on the reverse side to protect the flowers, and to secure things like stems/overlapping petals. Taking a tip from my experience, adding decoupage to the petal openings/crevices may help prevent spray paint from pooling under flowers. Let dry completely.

7. STEP 5) Spray paint

With the inside of the case facing you, add a layer of spray paint. Follow the can's directions for the best outcome. Let dry overnight!

8. STEP 6) Let dry

Leave your phone case to dry overnight and attach it to your phone!
